TI-BASIC / Simple little character generation program.
« on: November 04, 2018, 01:03:22 pm »
I was watching youtube and there was a guy drawing a character based on numbers generated randomly from a 20 sided dice. Each roll represented a certain attribute, and the higher the number the more it leaned towards one attribute or another. For example, there was a size attribute which could either be small or huge. A roll of 1 would represent a tiny character while a 20 would be a giant character. He had each attribute written down, and he'd draw a line under each attribute show how far it leaned one way or the other.Offhandedly, the guy mentioned that "you could probably write a program to do this, but what fun would that be?" I thought it might be fun, so here are the results. :D Just felt like sharing because it's the first real thing I've written in a long time, and it came out pretty much just like I wanted.

Miscellaneous / Hello again everyone
« on: May 01, 2017, 09:12:14 pm »
Hey guys, it's been a while.  I kinda got bored with things, as seems to happen sometimes and I just quit coming by here for a while. I had an urge to stop by as some old projects have been on my mind. Anyhow, I'll be around a bit. Hope everyone is doing well. :)

Site Feedback and Questions / Unnecessary IRC channels?
« on: December 29, 2015, 06:02:56 pm »
The topic pretty much says it and I wanted to know what others thought. It seems we have a lot of unused/unnecessary IRC channels.  As far as I know,#fr and #nl get no activity. I'd imagine #radio #games, and #anime are the same. I can see keeping #thebot for bot testing and #spam if the main channel gets too spammy and people need to go there. #irp I don't know about, I've never been in there. :P What do you guys think? Should we drop some of these channels? Do you use any of them? Would you miss them if they were gone? Please discuss.

Codewalrus and Omnimaga won't load on my win 7 laptop running the most current version of chrome. They hang on the login and just show the orange Loading... text

*edit* I had it on say logged in forever. I changed it to stay logged in for a day and it worked.

TI Z80 / Curse of the Minotaur[AXE ??]
« on: August 01, 2015, 07:23:07 pm »
As some of you might have noticed, I've been busy posting in the Mockups thread. I've decided to turn these mockups into something more and actually make them into a fully fledged game! In case you haven't seen, here are the mockups and test tiles so far:

The game is currently planned to be done in pure BASIC, but I may end up resorting to some ASM/ASM libs to read from archive if things get to big. Stay tuned for more!

Other / Ben Heck's DIY Graphing Calculator

Seeing all the attempts at people making their own calculator, I found this quite relevant. Still watching at the moment, but seems like a pretty neat project. Also, I love their intro. :P

Here's another awesome kickstarter project I found and backed. Bloodstained: Ritual of the night. It's being designed by Koji Igarashi; the man behind Castlevania Symphony of the night, and many other subsequent similar Castlevania titles. It really looks awesome, and I can't wait. :D

Here's a new arduino based gaming system on kickstarter. It has a screen res of 128x64 (same as the TI-86). The screen is black and white. All software is free and opensource. I thought it was pretty neat looking device, so I've backed it and I'm getting a 2 pack of em. Thought it might interest some of the folks here as well. ;)
