Other Calculators / Re: TI NSpire CX CAS VS HP Prime CAS
« on: June 11, 2013, 07:01:29 pm »
I don't know much about non-TI-calcs. The TI-89 really is the best for school, but it is not allowed on the ACT. You need a TI-84+ for that (best calc allowed on the ACT)

Wrong, the Non-cas CX is the best calc for the ACT.

I recommend a CX Cas.

Doesn't really answer to the topic, but piexil, you can use [img] tags to include the image in your post without users having to click on it ;)
For example, [img]http://i.imgur.com/0Nw1JxP.png[/img] gives that:

Sweet, thanks! I haven't posted on forums in forever, so I forgot all of that.

Other Calculators / N-spire 3.1 graphing glitch
« on: March 23, 2013, 12:07:28 pm »
One day, while bored in AP chemistry, I decided to just start randomly graphing things.

I started with the function f(x)=x^(sin(x)), now this graphs pretty normally on the 83/84, but on the nspire, it goes crazy while in 2D graphing mode

So I graphed i in 3d mode to see what would happen, and it comes out as it should

Hmm, I wonder if any other functions cause this too happen, and I discovered another weird one with
f(x)=x^x^x^2

Windows != DOS.

Actually, 3.1 and earlier were just interfaces ontop of dos and 95,98 and ME used the DOS kernel.

^This. Also now that I think about it, doesn't the calc reboot and crash at 300 MHz? Or is it only the CX?

My CX was able to handle the max Nover allowed it to do.

Music Showcase / Back to basics (WIP)
« on: September 11, 2012, 02:13:08 pm »
So, a while ago I started to try out to do some EDM production, different genres and stuff, I finally made a song I do like very much, yet I'm still not very good at it. THis song is actually my first try at UK hardcore as well, I tried trance, but I was awful at it. I'm not using the mtv thing that seems to be popular here, I'm using FL studio, z3ta+, S1 piano, 3xosc, and Drummaxx. Note this is still very WIP and any suggestions will be very welcome :D

Edit: I Finished it.

Hahaha have fun with HW! :) If you want it to do that why not just download the libs? They're only a few kb :P

Don't have the nspire software installed currently and too lazy to do it :p

The TI can do that...

A CX CAS can nativley, a CX non-cas (what I have) can't unless you expand it with basic libs.

On a side note: I should probably get back to my hon stats and precalc homework.....

So, I had to get a second calculator for AP chem (It's my teacher's policy), and it can only be scientific, so I chose the most advanced one I could, the TI-36x PRO. I love the thing so far. I also have my trusty Nspire-CX. One thing I noticied, is the 36x is far from being a CAS of course, yet it gives exact answers. Let's say I did 20pi/5, it would give me 4pi. If I do sqrt(27) it gives me 3sqrt(3). These are things my nspire cx can't do. WHy do you do this Ti? I guess I'll be using both calcs from now on...

Holy sheet, looks amazing dude.

I always hated how none of the IDEs had syntax highlighting

Updated the game:

Fixed the battlesystem and added saving of completed/uncompleted quests (This took me ~2 hours to add in :c)

System of a Down

I love System, but jesus. No one on my school but my friends who like the same music as me do.
Even one of the girls who love "metal" (The stuff that's really not metal, like BFMV) didn't know who they were.

On 2.55MP, if you take a fraction and multiply by another fraction, the home screen glitches and starts writing from the middle instead of the top of the screen. Only way I know how to fix is ram reset

Other Calculators / Re: My new 84+SE!!!
« on: May 24, 2012, 08:16:57 am »
why did they take out a ram page? The 84+SE should have more RAM IMO than the 83+SE...

Because I think TI wanted to cut down the price of production even more while keeping the same sales price, and the fact that since the user RAM is only 24kb anyways they thought the extra RAM was unnecessary.
The thing is,
Why would they need to cut down prices they buy it for?
They already only pay $5 for the hardware and turn a 9001% profit on it. (Exaggeration, of course.)
