Yeah, no point in them taking down the Wii U and 3DS network. Only those for the Wii and DS have been put offline.

51. You don't know the place you went on your first date or the song the played on the jukebox as you kissed, but you stored the timestamp on your calculator.
52. When someone asks how long you have been dating, you pull out your calculator and calculate the number of seconds since the aforementioned timestamp.

Uhh, I though my post was #22.

You are right. Must've been drunk when I wrote that. Sorry, this has been fixed to 23 and 24 now.

Humour and Jokes / Re: Is your son a computer hacker?

There's a Wikipedia artice about Adequacy.org; the site was started by some Slashdot trolls. I just read through a fair bit of their stuff and some of it's golden (like this article). This article was one of the few things on the internet to truly make me laugh out loud. :D

Actually that article is a satire of what the website was about: Serious discussions on the world's most important matters. People who say this is satire don't know what satire is about.

Always read the small print. Better safe than learning later that you sold your organs to a some shady harvesters organization.

The notice is not big enough. People will still fall for it.

Yeah, it's still pretty useful for single-application computers such as cash registers and such.

I have seen pictures of Chase ATMs still running Windows XP. The fact they put Windows on an ATM makes me much less secure about my money.

They still distribute dos, but not windows xp :P

They still do, for embedded systems only. The "user" version has been discontinued.

Is it running on real or virtual hardware? If it's virtual there shouldn't any driver problems.

The network would become self-aware, try to rule humanity for some time, and then it would start procrastinating and waste time on Flappy Bird (on-calc flappy of course)

What if Mountain Dew and Doritos didn't exist?

Huh, sorry I meant screensaver. That's fixed now.  XD

And people could select the screensaver they want, or have different screensaver depending on the time of the day, or have them switch sequentially.

The possibilities are endless.
