Ok, so today I decided to mess around with modding some TI-BASIC programs on my calc. After a while, while I was  flying in/out of the program editor and the calc spewed out some error via Doors CS (I use the homerun hook to run/edit programs from archive). I lost the last iteration of the program but was able to recover a previous one using Archive undelete. An hour and a half later, I'm doing the same stuff but with a different program. I exit the program editor in hopes of testing what was going to be a really satisfying mod only to be greeted by DCS telling me the program doesn't exist (don't exactly remember the text because I was panicked), followed by another undefined error, and then I tried to fire up DrDnar's famous Archive Undelete, which within seconds caused the calc to crash and RAM clear again. Then I notice that EVERYTHING except the Doors CS app is GONE! Now I do suspect that the calculator might be having issues with the flash memory due to age and heavy use (bought this thing back in 2009 when I was only 9 years old), but I would like to hear what the community thinks about this. I have an Nspire for my math needs, but the 84+ is my favorite for tinkering.

I know not many people in the calculator community even really pay much attention to me since I'm not really important, but I am back again now that I have started electrical engineering college in the US. Now, onto the reason for my absence...
Backstory:
A little backstory on my pre-omnimaga days is needed to explain my absence.
So before I joined Omnimaga, back in 2016 I was a member of Cemetech. One of the reasons I joined that site is that I wanted to be able to have at least some sort of social life (at the time I was being BADLY bullied by 95% of my class because I was a nerd). But joining Cemetech at the time turned out to be a HUGE mistake. My attempts to get into a group where I could be "accepted" were, due to my severe immaturity and lack of social skills at the time, ended disastrously. The pinnacle of that was when I got bitten by the stupid placebo effect and made that thread about "overclocking" the TI-84+ SE. Although I quickly realized that I was wrong, I for months on end refused to admit it because I was too scared of admitting to being wrong. Over the course of the next few months, the stress in my personal life continued to destroy my mental health and consequently made me behave like a totally immature 2 year old on Cemetech. I eventually got banned (on or around July 24th 2016). I was then caught ban evading multiple times, and on the last attempt somebody told me that I was like one of those Walmart cashiers that claimed to be the coolest "hacker" but just used pre-made parts and sample code. That last comment ruined my self esteem and feeling of self worth for a good 2 years.

Enough backstory, now onto my Omnimaga and later days. So once I made my account here, I immediately felt like I was in a better place where I could start over again having learned my lesson on how not to behave online. But the mere fact that this site is super linked to Cemetech meant that I continued to have bad dreams about Cemetech for quite a while. I decided to stay out of the calculator community for a while. In the meantime, I went on to be a well-loved and super-helpful member of Android Central. I've aslo taught my self quite a bit more about electronics (including calculator hardware, of course), so I won't ever end up getting bitten by the placebo effect such as that that ruined my Cemetech reputation.

Fast forward to today, and I'm now finishing my second week of electrical engineering as a freshman at a well-renowned science and engineering university here in the USA. Everything is going super well, people here absolutely think I am the coolest guy they've ever met, the professors (especially the math and EE ones) really like me because I came in with much more knowledge of math and electronics than anyone else (I know so much that my EE prof now has mostly quit letting me answer questions because he wants the less advanced students, who don't even know how much voltage is in a wall outlet, to actually learn something instead of relying on me to answer instead of them). As for my personal life, I am now 6000+ miles away from the bullies that temporarily destroyed my mental health in 2016, and am now in perfect mental health and have become noticeably more successful at finding friends. Even though my campus is full of tech/science nerds, I still find it hard to find people who actually care about "extracurricular" calculator activities (gaming, programming, etc...), so I decided that rather than attempting to get unbanned from Cemetech (which I know will probably never happen, unless I get the courage to send Kerm an apology email) I would just come here to casually discuss calculator stuff.

I was tried to edit a basic program at one point,  but it just disappeared and Doors spewed out a 'file not found' error and strange artifacts appeared on the screen. I
attempted to run the program,  but same error. This happened before a few times,  despite numerous OS reinstalls. Also,  when I was playing with another basic program,  most of my RAM momentarily disappeared until I reset it. Sometimes when I open the memory management menu,  for a split second I can see 4-pixel squares and a few arrows on the top 1/4th of the display. I am pretty sure I did not mess up the OS. Please help.

P. S. My calc is running at 16.59mhz. Is this normal?

Is it theoretically possible for TiLP to be ported to Android and to use the USB OTG connection to communicate with a calculator? I assume that wouldn't be too hard since Android is Linux-based. Any thoughts? This would be helpful because I don't have computer access 24/7 and I need programs from my calc to be used in WabbitEmu (or if I download something from a repository with my phone, to send that directly to a physical calculator).

Could someone tell me what the best way to randomly generate lines,points,pixels,etc... on a TI-84+ in TI-BASIC? I have gone through many different attempts and it usually involved taking and modding a portion of Hex2Sprite and then adding quite a bit of my own code to randomize coordinates (randInt operations) and draw what I need (I think my code is the slow part, but the programs are too long to post here.). Is there an alternative method to mine or is this the fastest I can get without attempting to OC my calc to 25-30MHz?

Being a tech nerd myself, I ALWAYS fail at making decent art (school art class absolutely sucks ).
Of course, I like looking at beautiful art, but I also hate most art. So I decided to see if I can get my calc to make some decent art. I succeeded in doing this by making a program (TI-BASIC mandatory for this) that generates random explosion-like line-based images. It is fun to watch how they get made up, line by line. Of course, the 15MHz z80  extends the drawing time way to much. I haven't gotten around to putting it on ticalc.org, but I may do so on the next school break or some other time. So,yes, this prooves that a primitive device like my TI84+SE can make art.

I am a former Cemetech member and in the meantime I have learnt my lesson. I am also a trusted member of WinBoards and I hope to give myself a second chance inside the calculator community by being a member of Omnimaga. I hope that everyone forgives me for my misdoing on Cemetech. Also,  I am not the low-IQ chicken that some Cemetech members think I am. I just never showed my real self online.
