Art / Calcs can make art on their own...
« on: January 14, 2017, 07:55:11 am »
Being a tech nerd myself, I ALWAYS fail at making decent art (school art class absolutely sucks :( ).
Of course, I like looking at beautiful art, but I also hate most art. So I decided to see if I can get my calc to make some decent art. I succeeded in doing this by making a program (TI-BASIC mandatory for this) that generates random explosion-like line-based images. It is fun to watch how they get made up, line by line. Of course, the 15MHz z80  extends the drawing time way to much. I haven't gotten around to putting it on ticalc.org, but I may do so on the next school break or some other time. So,yes, this prooves that a primitive device like my TI84+SE can make art. XD XD XD

Humour and Jokes / Re: 9001 signs you're addicted to calcs and Omni

7619. You have attempted to software OC you TI84+ SE and failed at it, corrupted your OS, accidentally messed with the refresh rate instead of CPU speed and refused to admit on Cemetech that you were wrong because you are scared that you will get attacked by an admin or other high-rank member.
7620. You get banned from Cemetech and have made at least 2 attempts to create a new Cemetech account (and pretend to be your best friend).
7621. You use DCS 7.2 on a monochrome calc.
7622. You have crashed you calc (and had to pull a battery) at least 3 time s in the past year.
7623. You are a hard-core lover of TI-BASIC who absolutely REFUSES to learn assembly.
7624. You reverse-engineer locked BASIC programs. ;D ;D
7625. You have discovered the easter egg in DCS 7.2.
7626. You put a ''Zilog z80 inside'' profile photo.
7627. You love calculator games that push the limits of your calc in order to give high-quality graphics.
7628. You have made truly good and funny jokes on Cemetech's chat widget about at least one high-profile calculator programmer.
7629. You play minecraft on your TI84+SE.
7630. You made an Omnimaga account to dicuss calcs and other stuff without being bullied on Cemetech (or any other forum).
7631. You have connected your calc to a memory card reader or digital camera.

I have a TI84+SE. It crashed a few times if I repeatedly exited and continued without restarting the game. Somehow , I reduced the chances risk by deleting the appVar GS a few times over. XD XD Also, my calc has a LONG history of incompatibility with certain TI83+ games, so maybe it's the calc itself (I also have issues with file loss and/or program VAT entry loss).

Aaaahh.... So TI doesn't know to use binary?! Or are they doing this to confuse users?

Other / 131kb RAM in TI -84+SE?!
« on: January 14, 2017, 03:29:19 am »
Would someone mind telling me why TI Connect CE claims that my Ti-84+SE has 131kb RAM? Shouldn't it be 128kb?

Great game,  but has some bugs in the save/continue system. Maybe an update?
Also,  does this game use the 6mhz or 15mhz mode?

Introduce Yourself! / Re: Heya, Omnimaga
« on: January 13, 2017, 01:18:38 pm »
Long story, I may send you a PM with the real story IF I feel like it. I love that I am actually welcome here considering the fact that some of Cemetech's most annoying members are here .  :-) I can't wait to start posting around here. Just don't expect me to be present 24/7.

I am a former Cemetech member and in the meantime I have learnt my lesson. I am also a trusted member of WinBoards and I hope to give myself a second chance inside the calculator community by being a member of Omnimaga. I hope that everyone forgives me for my misdoing on Cemetech. Also,  I am not the low-IQ chicken that some Cemetech members think I am. I just never showed my real self online.
