Although Flappy Bird kinda died down in the last few months. Does anyone know if it's still very popular elsewhere? That said, what I liked about the calc clones is that they are good. Even the latest hybrid BASIC one isn't bad.

I think it's because MicroPython was first announced on TI-Planet and you contribute a lot to Ndless development.  :P

I personally didn't remember if you were German or Dutch, though, because German people are very rare in the calculator community.

Personally I voted Reuben Quest The Lost Mirror. I might be biased, though, because I made the original, but it's one of, if not the first TI-83+ compatible ASM RPG to come out in finished state in a decade. I had an hard time choosing between it and Pokémon Factory, though, plus the other entries are really great.

It's progressing!

Some electronic circuit issues delayed the 2nd prototype but it's still alive and well:

Something I hope is changes to the d-pad, though. But it has 128 MB of RAM :D.

« on: December 09, 2014, 01:49:22 pm »
Ok so if you haven't checked ticalc.org yet, the 2014 Program of the Year award has begun! Obviously, the first poll is for the TI-83+/84+ category, and assuming POTY works the same way as previous years, the survey will probably run for 1 week. Then the TI-84+CSE category will follow, then the TI-Nspire.

Anyway, here are the TI-83+/84+ programs participating this year:

Axio Man! http://www.ticalc.org/archives/news/articles/14/148/148705.html
Flappy Bird http://www.ticalc.org/archives/news/articles/14/148/148558.html

VVVVVV http://www.ticalc.org/archives/news/articles/14/148/148561.html

You need a ticalc.org account to vote and you don't have much time to do so, so make sure to vote for your favorite program ASAP! :)

You guys must have two or three months worth of credits in storage now I bet, right? I hope the platform move won't be as rocky as this is.

The slowdown only lasted 5 minutes, after I discovered Omni was back, so don't worry.

I finally downloaded this so I'll get it on my calc to play when I have some extra time :)

(Not that I'm good at Sudoku, though x.x)

Although I heard horror stories about GoDaddy before but it might have been more due to their position on SOPA/PIPA back then. I hope it works fine for you there.

MiniUSB would be best indeed. Micro is getting much more common with mobile devices nowadays and the HP Prime comes with one but for a long while most devices used miniUSB.

Switching to HTTPS sure causes extreme server loading. It took 28 hours to load this page. :P

Oh wait nvm that was the host being down. :P Seriously I seriously hope you get some free months from this cuz it was kinda bad.

Also Moderation center is fixed, so I can't see it anymore. I didn't try to see if last post by the same IP errors still occur, though. I just noticed the site is back now.
