News / 120 website links!
« on: May 27, 2005, 02:02:00 pm »
Yesterday during the evening and this evening I added new website links and updated a few others. All are from UnitedTI. Because the server moved all UTI links in the link section here were broken but now they are up again. I added http://toksyuryel.unitedti.org/JACstudios/?passie, http://leofox.unitedti.org/, http://aliencc.unitedti.org/ and http://mpl.unitedti.org/.  I also added another website, http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Bunker/3958/main.html, which have lot of calc games avaliable for download, even though it's no longer updated. This make a total of 120 website links. Make sure you check those websites out!

Okay, I have a saving system that makes my save file 1/2 as big as before, and you can only save on the overworld.

Sweet, do you use list encryption like in RL3? In RL3 when you save it compress the lists so much that it cant even be hacked and it decompress them when loading. Loading takes 5 seconds because of that but its worth it because at first the files were 740 bytes each and now they are 160 bytes

News / Jake Finley causes plane crash
« on: May 24, 2005, 02:41:00 pm »
As reported on CNN this evening, a plane crashed 13 km to the south of Sheerbrooke, in the province of Québec in Canada. There was only 4 people in the plane but no one survived to the accident.

According to CNN news, the pilot would have lost control of the plane high in the air, causing the plane to crash near the forest then continue its course until it reache the road then explode. When the fireman searched the plane they found a laptop, next to the pilot, with a floppy disk in it containing calculator games. There was also a calculator in the pilot pocket, but no one could tell what was the model since its face burnt in the accident. Apparently, just before the accident occur, the pilot was browsing the Epic Programming Studio forums on the internet while controlling the plane, and he would have lost control just a few second after he notice that Jake Finley (CrimsonCasio), one of the forum admins, reached 1000 posts on the forums. Hopefully more information will be found in the black boxes in the burned plane and the country will probably vote for a new law, prohibiting Internet access in motorised vehicles, to avoid this tragedy to happen again.

UPDATE (05/25/2005 7:59): More news: According to the medias, the calculator next to the pilot is none other than the almighty Casio ClassPad 300 with a touch screen. The pilot was looking for some news about Lydonia for this calculator model but when he saw CrimsonCasio post count he got hit by a traumatism, causing him to lose control completly but they are still sure that the accident was caused by Jake FInley reaching 1000 posts, not by the fact he was surfing on the EPS forum and looking for news.

News / Navigation bar changed again
« on: May 24, 2005, 12:49:00 pm »
I changed the navigation bar so now it will be the same on the portal and the board and I finally got rid of the useless calendar and birthday links. It will also take less time to load because it use a lot less Javascripts. And if you didnt noticed there is new button in the post page allowing to access some less known BBcode tags. Enjoy! :)smile.gif
