Computer Usage and Setup Help / Mouse choice
« on: December 09, 2011, 07:34:07 pm »
I'm having some issues on choosing a new mouse for my pc.. i want to buy a new mouse, but i don't really know wich one. i had a look on the microsoft touch mouse ( http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/products/touch-mouse/microsite/ ), but does anyone have some experience with it? because i read reviews that were totally good, but also that were totally bad..

or do you have an idea/suggestion for another mouse (doesn't have to be touch) below €80?

thanks for all :)

Lua / Lua on calc guide
« on: December 08, 2011, 06:40:07 pm »
I'm making a guide with all the lua commands for the nspire. If you have some comments, advices or whatever, tell me..
Maybe make a graphical interface, with more 'effects', i don't know, share your ideas, or you can help me finding an example or function for the commands below
  • clipboard (all functions)
  • toolpalette (not register)
  • D2editor (all functions)

Bloxorz

http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=757

My version of Bloxorz, originally made by Damien Clarke, ported to the nspire
can be played on the nspire (cx might be very usefull to distinguish the colors of the types of tiles..

UPDATE!! This version fixed a bug when reaching level 17 (that doesn't exist anymore and now stays at level 16)
I also did some other cleanup, so this version is certainly better!

To Do Manager

http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=753

Here is my newest contribution to the Nspire world: a complete task/to do editor.

Now you can store tasks in a list, so you don't forget them (e.g. schooltasks). You can assign a title (max 30 chars), a priority (1 is not important, 5 is the most important) and a description.
Priority is shown with a color from green to red, and the title is editable after saving it (description is not)

TI-Nspire / Bomberman
« on: November 30, 2011, 12:17:28 pm »
Hello

i wanted to start something new, and my idea was a bomberman game for the Nspire, or is there already one?

i made a fast drawing of what it might look like, it's totally doable, so it's not a kind of visionary effect that would never be able succeed :)

Lua / cursor types
« on: November 28, 2011, 04:07:10 am »
hello there

i made a little bit of documentation about the cursor types in lua. here's a picture of all possible types, but more information about the use can be found on my website

This way i found a mistake on http://wiki.inspired-lua.org/Overview_of_the_API where it says "hand close" and it has to be "hand closed"..

TI-Nspire / To Do manager
« on: November 27, 2011, 01:24:39 pm »
in a hurry i started writing a kind of To Do manager for the nspire.
I felt like, wow, i haven't seen many apps for this calc  :w00t: , let's write one  ;D as i didn't felt the power to work on tetris...

now i'm just giving it some extra lay-out and a function to delete item per item, for now you can only delete them all together

you can store as many to do's as you want, and scrolling makes you see them all (not with multiple pages, all on 1) you can see this in the screenshot, release for tonight i think

i notice i did write heven't xp i never saw it during the "filming", so don't laugh at me for that xp

TI-Nspire / Bloxorz
« on: November 19, 2011, 12:58:25 pm »
yeah, i'm quite busy for the moment, on the coding field i mean..

i made a lua game called Bloxorz, a port from the bloxorz game on spele.nl, but there are many more variations on this game, but i haven't seen one on the nspire yet

so, what does it do, you have to lead a block to the red tile within the field of tiles, you can move anywhere you want, but you block has to stand completely on the tiles. Every time you move, your block changes his position. When you are standing and you move, you will be lying down on the next tiles, understood? well, that last thing is  not implemented yet xp

for those who don't understand anything of my explanation, here's a screenshot (sorry for the text in the middle of the screen, it was the only way i know until now..)

Miscellaneous / What software do you use to program?
« on: November 14, 2011, 06:51:28 pm »
as the description says, this is about the software you use to program your games, apps...
because there are many ways to get to the result, i wanted to know which ones were used more or less

i use the traditional TI scripting tools and the TI Nspire cas student software.
for basic and axe, i use the original programeditor, are there some other ways to do this?

« on: November 14, 2011, 06:35:34 pm »
Hye i started a new project recently and i wanna know what you think about it..

it's a balance game in which you have to balance the balance by making balls grow and then drop them on the balance

ColorTetris

http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=742

Hello, here i am with the official first ColorTetris!

Features:
-3 modes: marathon (survive as long as you can), 40 lines (erase 40 lines as fast as you can) and time trial (race against the clock)
-Every mode has 3 highscores, names included! (at the beginning they're all called "0 - name" (as you can see in the movie), so 9 highscores in total
-Ghostblock, only with those L and reversed L blocks there's a small bug that it displays it one block too high.
-Controls with arrows, 4, 8, 6, 2, p(ause), r(estart), enter and tab.
-Instant dropdown (enter)
-FULL COLOR, but it also works for B/W calcs (not cx), with a white background for visibility

Source and screenshots included

General Calculator Help / TI 84 turn off fails
« on: November 14, 2011, 03:04:45 am »
hello there

i made my ti-84plus reincarnate yesterday, because of the nostalgic feelings and because i was checking if i didn't have some nice old games i never released, and i have :)

but now to the point: i switched my 84plus on, made a rom image for wabbitemu, and now it doesn't want to shut off with the [2nd][on] keys????? I also have a strange error message on the screen, i don't know where it comes from, but it's different, it says:

Error # 215
BASIC Ex Err:BRK
1. Quit
2. Goto error

i also can't get any screenshot from it, even if it was on the homescreen...

apps/thing installed:
DoorsCS7
MirageOS
Boxman
Pong
