Pokémon Purple / Re: Pokemon Purple

Necro-post for my favorite thread  :ninja:
About the sprite drawing, iirc you kinda gave up and made the pokemon sprites drawn by asm because basic was too slow...
Why can't you use that text-sprite trick(the one with the for loop displaying characters).  Wouldn't that display the pixels fast enough to make drawing the pokemon fast enough to be viable in basic?

Why does TI even hate Ndless so much anyways?  Doesn't that make more people buy Nspires and earn them more money? :(

Nintendo handhelds have always had some backwards compatibility
Not true, the Original Gameboy had no backwards compatability (#Trollface)

Meh, saving 50$ on a 170$ console does not seem worth losing the nice 3D and folding.  Is the 3Ds backwards compatable, or is that something only the 2ds has?

...a single screen handheld like the Wii U gamepad (inb4 Nintendo 1DS).
Nintendo One Dual Screen?  I think not.

The worst part actually about the Wii Mini is that it has no online support.
No, the family edition was different.  It was the model that dropped gamecube support.  The Wii Mini went further and dropped online support :(

I would only be interested if it was significantly cheaper...
Isn't technology meant to get better over time, not worse?
I remember when Nintendo just decided to drop gamecube support for the wii, market it as "Family edition" and keep it THE SAME PRICE *facepalm*  sadly my my parents were stupid enough to get me one of those "family edition" models for christmas :_(

Well... sometimes when you make a post... it puts multiple IDENTICAL posts instead of one... wouldn't it be easy to just block any IDENTICAL consecutive posts?

Interesting, but shouldn't this topic be located in the computer section, since this is not a calculator project?
It should be moved by a mod!

Also I doubt the link port can be damaged just by playing sound, but by constantly plugging in/out the headphones or link cable it can wear it out very fast
Exactly.  I did not know it was so frail, so I was pressing the adapter into it, and holding it at many angles trying to get the poor adapter to get some sound. :(

Earlier somebody said a full memory dump of the new calcs would help, couldn't a hardware modification make that possible?

Miscellaneous / Im back!
« on: August 29, 2013, 12:47:36 pm »
Well, if any of you remember when I was having issues with my Ti 83P-SE link port... I seem to have damaged it trying to make it produce sound...  I cannot transfer files to or from my calculator :'(.  I just quit when that happened.  With school getting out for the summer, I had little reason to use my calculator instead of my desktop. But school is back (I'm a SENIOR  8)), and I use my calculator daily again.  I still cannot transfer files, but I can manually type axe/basic programs into my calculator and WabbitEmu  :-\.

Anyways...  I am working on an axe project.  I want it to speed up the longer the game goes on.  I am doing this by making the game run fairly fast, then just adding "pause B" in the loop.  B starts at 250 and everytime a point is earned I subtract one from B.  The way it is set up, though, has it where every so often you either earn a point or lose... so the longer the game goes on the smaller B gets and the faster you get points, making B get smaller exponentially.  I need an effective way to make B get smaller more or less linearly over time.  Any ideas?

:-[  I never mean to say things so negativley...
I am a bit socialy aqward so I often dont pick up on sarcasm or recognize myself being rude...

I meant to say... Axe Parser is so great, that I was a little dissapointed with a few grammar errors(I could not have do it without you) in the guide.  I was saying we(as a community) should screen through the pdf and make sure it has top quality to match Axe Parser...

I am sorry for any offence...
