The game is released, you can find more info here: https://www.omnimaga.org/news/reuben-quest-lost-between-times-22408

Yes, I'm working on a third part of the game.
Have a teaser:

I got some pretty neat stuff planned on this, and I hope you guys'll like it once I decide to publicly announce them :P

Also note how this won't be only my work (sprites, story, map etc.)

EDIT:
Maybe this will be the start map

Other / Raspberry Pi 2
« on: February 03, 2015, 07:02:04 am »
Apparently the raspberry foundation decided to bring out a new pi: The Raspberry Pi 2. It is on sale for $35, which is just as much as RPi1 B+
And it's hardware seems to be the same, except of the cpu and the ram:
The CPU is a quad-core ARM7 900MHz, the claim it to be about 6 times faster
The RAM is now twice as much, 1GB SDRAM

News / More information on the TI-84 Plus CE
« on: January 13, 2015, 04:43:18 pm »
TI-84+CEAs TIs official page about the new TI-84+CE states it will be released in Spring 2015!
Features that are officially mentioned include:
  • Lighter and thinner than the other TI-8x models
  • Backlit color display
  • Rechargeable batteries
  • Different colored cases
  • Same key layout as previous models / same use of OS

Other features found on various sources online:
  • Use of EasyData 5.0 --> possibly OS numbering of 5.x? (as pointed out here)
  • Use seems "very fast", as pointed out in a deleted Reddit comment --> maybe TI decided to use a ez80? Or, maybe to save production costs, they are using an ARM and are merely emulating the z80?
  • The model doesn't seem to have a 2.5mm I/O port anymore
  • 150KB of user RAM and 3.0MB of archive, according to Vernier

Is there a bcall for the TIOS menu? Would it be possible to get it to use custom tokens?
Or do i have to re-write the menu like Omnicalc does it?

TI Z80 / Vectorial Math
« on: December 21, 2014, 08:04:35 pm »
Ever dreamed about being able to do vectorial math on your z80 calculator? Well, I started making an app for that!
So far it only features the scalar (dot) product, lol. You can switch between the different product types by hitting the multiply key multiple times.

Has anyone made a wireless link for the calculator? If so I am going to buy it otherwise I might work on learning the skills to try my own.

The only wireless link so far is the wifi module by kerm, it requires the calcnet protocol, though, which smash doesn't use iirc.

News / Regarding the recent downtime
« on: October 24, 2014, 02:39:57 pm »
We apologize for the recent downtime, the server is back up and running smoothly now.
The provider had hardware issues and they didn't notify us in advance that they'll be turning off the servers, thus we couldn't know that this was happening.

The unplanned downtime lasted about 16 hours in total.

Thank you for your understanding!

And now on to posting!

Other / Banana Pi, anyone?
« on: October 09, 2014, 03:27:02 pm »
So, the Banana Pi is basically a Raspberry Pi only more powerful! ( http://bananapi.com/index.php/component/content/article?layout=edit&id=24 )
It has like a 1GHz dual core CPU and 1GB DDR3 ram, and many more neat things, like SATA, while it only costs about 10€ more than the raspberry pi model B+!

I ordered me one and it arrived today, and I must say, so far I (almost) only had positive experience with it: it runs way quicker stuff, due to the better CPU.
And don't think it would lack GPIOs, in fact, the GPIO headers are the same pins as on the rpi model A or model B

The only downside I experienced with the Banana Pi so far is the power supply - i had it running on 5V 1A and then when plugging in some usb devices it just turned off. After doing some research I found out that, while the manufacturer says 1 Amp is enough for the basic stuff, I heard that 3 Amps should be more stable....now I need to get a new power supply for this thing xD

Anyways, any thoughts?
