General Calculator Help / Re: Alternate Charging Port for Nspire CX
« on: February 27, 2014, 04:32:09 am »
did you try one of the Vin pins? i'm not sure if you damage your device if you use them. but are you sure your batterie is not dead? it is best if you find that out first.

hey all

I have a new project, im making a dock connector for prototyping the nspire dock.

for the moment i finished my first eagle drawing. i can mill some prototype at school.
i'm planning to pun an FTDI chip on it for UART.

look at the image, any suggestions on what to change add?

this may be implemented in my (on hold, it seems to expensive for now..) '3D nspire dock'
or in some other thing? or just as a bare connector?

please give me some feedback :)

i have the same problem.. and while TI has no batteries for sale atm... i'm using an old phone battery. sinds the my nspire battery was dead i soldered the connector the my 'new' battery.. but sadly it only charges in my old phone.

i'm making a dock connector at the moment, i just finished my first prototype eagle board and i will mill it at school after my holiday :)
i may produce some more for people who want to prototype with the dock connector. i may need to make a topic about it.

if you are going to do something with your old battery be warned, it is dangerous to disassemble various parts. and short it for to long can create an unstoppable fire.

edit: read to fast not the same problem, my battery is dead and not my charging port.

i want one with an interface :p, some thing i can always boot, and one that doesn't drain battery when i leave it on.
but i cant make my own version, if i have time for it i'm going to do some research on it.

at the end it shows a 5000mAh battery.

sinds i don't have a nspire battery anymore i use an old phone battery. but that wont charge..

it's that i like the Nspire keypad.. but this calculator is getting pretty awesome. is there some kind of hack needed to program in c/c++ like ndless?
it is a shame that the Nspire has such a small battery.. this one has 5000mAh?

edit: it is more a shame hp shows a 5000mAh battery in there video..

cmdline root=/dev/sda earlyprintk debug console=tty0 console=ttyAMA0,115200n8 rootdelay=10
boot
