Miscellaneous / Pencil animation software. Help Please
« on: September 27, 2011, 07:28:05 pm »
So I am trying to make an animation of a line moves, but I can't get it to look like what I want. The first attachment is what I want, the second is what I'm getting. Does anyone know how to use this software and is willing to help me try and figure out why I can't get this right?

Axe / How to draw a line using pxl-change?
« on: August 27, 2011, 05:27:18 pm »
So I'm working on a level editor for a platformer that I am currently working on, and I can't use the built in line command because if i did use it, the way I programmed it would cause it to overlap places it shouldn't overlap. Help please? I'm using 0.5.3 by the way, haven't been able to update in a while.

Miscellaneous / FBI open murder case
« on: March 30, 2011, 11:28:29 pm »
So the FBI has opened up a murder case for the public to try and solve. More accurately, they want the public to solve a cipher that they can't. Sounds fun, don't you all think?

I have a few small clues myself at the moment, but don't have time to go into detail right now.

To everyone who tries, good luck and have fun! (or in internet gaming terms "glhf")

TI-BASIC / Ti-Basic Custom Graphics
« on: January 04, 2011, 11:47:38 pm »
I've been wondering how many games have been made in Ti-Basic using the graphscreen and custom graphics. I know of;

FFTOM 1
FFTOM 2
and Contra

are there any others? If so, do any of them use some sort of utility that allow making custom graphics easily?

I am thinking of making a program that stores the location of pixels into lists, and then graphing them quickly using Stat plots, but if there's a program out there that does the same thing, I would like to use it as reference.

Miscellaneous / Understanding ourselves and others
« on: December 20, 2010, 12:52:40 am »
Something I've noticed about many people, the person we show to everyone else is different from the person we really are. We are scared that someone else will find out who we truly are and yet, at the same time we yearn for someone to finally understand who we are and what we care about. So many people keep their true selves locked away.

To be able to truly understand, takes time and patience, on both sides. When people truly understand who we are, then the chains that we have put on ourselves will break and then we can be truly happy.

On the other hand, the longer we are misunderstood, the deeper into despair we fall.

I send this out to everyone, and I say, don't lose hope, no matter how misunderstood you are, or for how long. If you keep moving forward, someday, you will find someone who understands and cares.

Miscellaneous / Shooting During School Board Meeting
« on: December 15, 2010, 01:06:11 am »
This happened in my neighborhood, when I saw this, I freaked out. I must say that I have new respect for my superintendent.

Here's a news report on what happened, it also shows what each person said if you can't hear them.

Edit: This guy fired a LOT of times, he ended up killing himself and no one else was hurt. It's all over American news right now, and it happened less than 12 hours before this post.

Edit2: A few minutes earlier, he would have interrupted an awards ceremony for kids. I got an award there when 3 years ago myself, can't even imagine how terrifying that would be.

Math and Science / Stupid SaT math question
« on: December 10, 2010, 07:51:19 pm »
Well I took the SAT last week and I found what I think is stupidest question ever on it.

Solve for X
X*1 = 3/5

Isn't the SAT supposed to measure readiness for college?!?! This is more like readiness for 6th grade!!!!

Gaming Discussion / Neverwinter Nights
« on: October 28, 2010, 03:03:02 pm »
So i recently found out that one of my teachers play a game called Neverwinter Nights, He said it was a really nice RPG and it was pretty cheap on a certain site (not sure i can give it out). I looked up some screenshots and it seems pretty epic, just looking for more opinions about it.

Other Calc-Related Projects and Ideas / Rpg planning
« on: October 06, 2010, 08:51:02 pm »
So I'm planning an RPG game, and would like to get feedback on current ideas and would like some more ideas, story and sprites included.

1: 1v1 battles for the moment
2: water > fire > earth > wind > water elemental relationship, used for character attributes and spells
3: Equipment; body, feet, right hand, left hand
4: Stats; Hp, Mp, Str, Def, Agl, Int
5: Items; Potion, Ether, Elixer
6: Spells; Fire, Water, wind, earth; levelable, originally unlocked by storyline
7: Perhaps mental attributes; dark, light, psychic

Story: teenager gets sucked into a portal and wakes up in a world where willpower decides everything, attacked by monster but saved by unknown person.

Not sure what language i will be doing this in but will probably be basic/axe hybrid.
Also in need of an experience equation.

So tell me what you think!  ;D

Edit: wow i got over 200 posts and i didn't notice
