TI Z80 / Minor Releases (lolje)
« on: November 17, 2010, 03:52:10 pm »
In this topic I would like to release some of my minor Projects coded someday 2005-2010, which still mess around on my calc and would like to be distributed for free to all of you ;)

Ok, so here you go:

1. Multi-Mind

The goal of Multi-Mind is to correctly answer all 'arithmetic problems' given by the calculator.
If linked to another calculator, you can solve the 'arithmetic problems' for the goal of being faster than your opponent.
Download is attached. (.zip or .rar)

Well, I am pretty sure I won't return to 83+ 84+ programming.
As for the Voyage 200, I'm not sure (pro would be that I'm still using it, con the small userbase)
but I'll definitely continue improving my Java skills and Idk, maybe sometime I'd make some kind of game in Java
Coding in C for a calc sounds also quite attracting to me, btw
Anyways, I'll stay tuned... :-)

Hey dudes, I'm currently really busy due to school, music stuff and Java [and the list goes on...]
(So that's why I was not able to release any new stuff yet)

However, I didn't forget about this and well, as I said, maybe there will follow a slightly optimized version of AOCII.

Have a great week! ;-)

I might release a slightly optimized version soon...

I just added a new version

Ah I see, you so mean (e.g.) Java and stuff??
Well, I would also like t learn the ropes of some other programming language...

Well, I don't know much about asm, but if you want to learn fast, you could just read through the xLIB-Readme - that's how I learned most of the commands :);ReadMe.txt

I just found this on google  ;D

will you still be able to post from time to time?
yes, of course

btw: AOCII never died...  ;)

When this is finished (or close) I am sure it will be featured on (I think somebody has to e-mail them, though, or contact them on IRC)
I think a feature would be pretty mind-blowing...

Well, As for the next 14 days, my presence in omnimaga might decrease a lot, since I'm going back home tomorrow and I don't have a stable connection there, just a surf stick (for hsdpa). Secondly, school might also have an influence on progress [...]

However, if I develop something during this period, I probably won't be able to upload it before the 16th of April (or maybe even the 23rd of April) because of this problem.

Greetings, lolje

Wabbit is an excellent emulator!!
I made 11 animated gif Screenies, showing nearly every single feature of AOCII. DO you think it would be advisable to put them into the 1st post? Maybe I should select the best Screens...

[at this point, two posts were merged into one]

The new screenshots are in the first post.

Happy Easter!

No, it is b/w. I was talking about how it behaved when I tried to make it greyscale...

I don't know much about sprites and such but would it not be possible to make the character sprite one with a white border around it? Like just one sprite with that instead of two separate ones.
Yes, i know what you are talking about - a mask. When I was coding this 'engine', I tested methods like this but it turned out that I was not able to establish a greyscale engine that actually runs smooth.
It's just like the 3D-Problem with xLIB - it is too slow since TI-basic is being interpreted by the O.S.

Ya, it can be a real hassle. [...]

Oh sorry, that wasn't my intention :-[...

A major part that would contribute to the decision is implementing things like the feeding, pooping, cleaning, fighting, training, etc. engines and all

Umm...I'm sorry but I'm not sure I exactly know what you're referring to in what context.

well, says
hassle = to pressurize

Btw Quote pyramid!  ;D

Do you know why it happens?
Well, it's quite simple: two commands calling two different pictures [overwrite, then match the second with the first in order to 'greyscale' it] instead of one single, sexy line.
Secondly, if you want to make it scrollable, you'll have to redraw the tilemap twice [and then maybe save it in two picture vars in order to speed the greyscale engine up]

xLIB is a great amplification to TI-Basic - but it's still not 'perfect'.
