News / Re: Ndless 2.0 alpha testing begins for developers
« on: December 19, 2010, 08:19:50 am »
this is pretty exciting! I haven't had much use for my nspire since I bought it because of the power bug thing, I will probably wait to try 2.0 with ndless when a stable release is out though. I currently don't have any plans to develop for the nspire :P

eh I am still very confused, I will probably take a look at some code and see if I can understand it better that way

oh I see, that answered a lot of my questions. I would like to know more about staggering the updates then, like if adjacent pixels should not be updated at the same time, how would you go about updating some from each buffer in such a way that adjacent ones do not end up getting updated? also I will probably need help with timing stuff when I get that far.

ASM / z80 8-level greyscale shenanigans

I am wondering if there are any tutorials on 8-level greyscale/if someone could explain to me basically how its done.
I would like to write my own greyscale routine but I was sad to see there was not much info about it online... :<

Miscellaneous / Re: How are those "versions" of programms numbered?
« on: October 12, 2010, 09:32:15 pm »
I have yet to decide on a versioning system that I want to use for all my projects but generally I do like:
a.b.c where a is a final release, b is a major change, and c is a minor change
I also have used a.b where a is a major change and b is a minor change I think

right now I am not sure who even has the storyline but it looks like someone lost it. I still have hope that it will turn up (and regardless of if it does or not I will continue development) but that means I will be putting a lot more time into BasiC++ development in the mean time. I might have some eye candy by the end of this week, so keep an eye out for that :)
