Bug report
Game: Pokemon Red
TI-Boy version: 0.0.03
Replication steps follow
1) Start a new game.
2) Name yourself the default name RED and your rival the default name BLUE.
3) When you are in Oak's lab, try to leave before choosing your starter.
4) When Oak calls you back, the sprites for Oak and RED dissapear while BLUE still occasionally moves around as if the game is still running.

I didn't get an email either. However, I did notice that some links aren't going to their correct places. An example of this is the 'TI-Boy Emulation reaches CSE calculators' news.

Bring it to life.

My Age of Empires 2 game took me over a day to finish.

I tried this in Wabbit, but no sound comes out. Be warned. Attached at bottom of post.

Oh, I see. I didn't know Gameboy Color was even supported!
Actually, only Gameboy Color games that are backwards compatible with the Gameboy are supported.
EDIT: Ninja'd

TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / Re: It's coming.
« on: February 15, 2014, 04:08:44 pm »
Oh, and would Pokemon Gold and Silver be in color? Because they work on the Game boy, but they are in color.

Those are Game Boy Color games. The Game Boy color is not supported for emulation due to a number of increased technical difficulties in emulating it.
Correction: Those games ARE Gameboy games. They were released right when the Gameboy Color was first released and so retained backwards compatibality with the Gameboy. I can prove this because I have a Gameboy original that can play Pokemon Silver. When run on a Gameboy, it simply uses monochrome textures.

TI Calculators / Re: Is it possible to run a TI-84+ OS on a TI-84+CSE?
« on: January 26, 2014, 06:51:59 pm »
Because TI-CARESTM.
Anyway, as anyone who has seen a TI calculator at full retail price can attest to, TI wants to squeeze as much of our money as they can while also increasing their own profits. Look at the TI-84+, it used to come with extra Flash but then TI cut it to save ~$0.05. Still confused?

Or someone could overclock his calculator with radium

HOW DO I DO THAT?

anyway, the calccoin concept seems great IMHO

I managed to finish the program during an extra coding session during study hall. Only one bug is that I can't manage to get that decimal point exactly in between the numbers.

How do you plan on making detection for if somebody is really using a calculator and not some custom pc software?
We could do this for s**ts and giggles, but it's not going to work as an actual currency, as someone could just run the mining algorithm on their CPU and outpower all the calculators.

I don't think anyone has been able to comunicate with a calculator while said calculator is running an assembly program.

It sounds like an interesting project, but I don't fully understand the purpose of this currency. How would you earn some of this currency? And on what can you spend it?

This is just a nice little proof of concept. If I get working well enough, then I might make it a huge project. As of now, you can only buy a higher difficulty  >:D.

Or someone could overclock his calculator with radium

And then I'll overclock mine with plutonium  :evillaugh:.

On the subject of progress, I have made the entire program already, and now have to implement increasing difficulty.

TI Z80 / Calc Coin: A Bitcoin Proof of Concept
« on: January 07, 2014, 02:49:39 pm »
On Cemetech a few days ago, I brought up the idea to make a gCn enabled Bitcoin miner. The response was a simple NO. The difficulty is simply so high, probably the only money we would make would be confiscated by Kerm to pay for the gCn hub's power intake  :banghead:. Another option presented by gbl08ma was to make a Bitcoin wallet. This time, I decided not to because I do not want to be burned in effigy when users start losing all the millions of dollars they have made. The solution came to me when a friend asked me if I could make a new currency by calcs FOR calcs. This means that calculators will (in the future) have a currency of their own to mine!
This ambitious project will be coded in Axe. If this all works out, I might add an update to CalcCoin that would enable trading between calculators.

Welcome to the dark... I mean light side, we have peanuts!
That may be a bad thing, seeing as I am allergic to peanuts. :p
Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome!

Many of you (hopefully) may know me from Cemetech. I mainly program on my trusty TI-84+SE but I also have an 89-Titanium for my CAS and advanced gaming needs. I am an avid Axe programmer and came here because it's easier to ask questions about it here where Axe started. I am also the starter of a semi-transient movie I call CalcWars/TI-Wars. As of now, Blender is too much of a pain for me so that is an almost dead project. Right now, I am working on the ordelorebot, think Nikky Sim with a nicer personality, and an unnamed RPG. Anyway, nice to be here.
