Axe / Re: Multiple External Keyboards

I was thinking about maybe use arrow keys on one keyboard and WASD on another keyboard ^^
so multiplayer games like 1:1 would be possible enen using only 1 calc ^^

Axe / Multiple External Keyboards
« on: August 17, 2016, 04:26:02 am »
I know only the last quetion is about Axe, but I wasnt sure where else to put that post ^^

As some of you may know, TI produces external keyboards for their calculators:
https://www.amazon.com/Texas-Instruments-Keyboard-Graphing-Calculators/dp/B00007K7JE/s=electronics
They're pretty cool since they're connected using the simple 2.5mm audio plug.
My idea was using multiple of these keyboards at the same time for multiplayer purposes, using audio splitters
(Like using little adapter (2.5mm->3.5mm), a 3.5mm Audio Split and another adapter (3.5->2.5mm)
Code: [Select]
[KB]--[2.5->3.5]--.
                   >[Audiosplit]--[3.5->2.5]--[Calc]
[KB]--[2.5->3.5]--'
Has anyone of you ever tried this out and did it work? :) And could I (theoretically) use an unlimited number of keyboards? :D
Aaaand... Does Axe properly work with them...? >.<

So I have to focus on fixing that stupid certificate now?
Maybe there's some way to somehow reset the certificate or send a working certificate from another device...?

@Art_of_camelot: I'm fine, thx :) Hungry for cookies and tired as always ^^

How long did it take to learn each language, saying he started programming at the age of 10? :D
To become good in a language you need at least 2 years I guess...
Maybe my point is a little clearer to you now :)

Edit: and I guess I'm somehow just repeating what turiqwalrus just said :P

"know all the programming languages" :P
How about asking him to name some of them  ;)

Before trying to learn it just because of that statement, make sure he knows machine code ;)

And how can I make sure it won't just be a Validation error again...?
*I would prefer to know before ruining another device with that crappy new OS  :-\

Edit: Using different linking cables also didn't change anything. (retried sending "blindly")

Both programs somehow still remembered the last session with the TI 84+ Silver Edition and were acting as if it was still connected - but had no access to it. Same results for 2.5.5 and 2.4.3. Results below.

Quote from: TiLP
The cable cannot be used.
cause: the cable has not been
initialized due to a prevours/current
error.

Quote from: TI Connect
Unable to send ...\TI83Plus_OS.8Xu.  Please try again.

Is there any trick or something behind sending a file "blindly" as you mentioned?

7054: Whenever someone in school forgot his calculator he just stares at you until you give him one of yours

General Calculator Help / TI 84+ won't receive OS
« on: March 19, 2015, 10:52:26 am »
General information:
TI 84+ Silver Edition (the so-called "Teachers Edition" with the extra plug at the upper side)
Hardware version: 3
Boot version: 1.02
OS version: 2.4.0

Problem:
Sending OS 2.4.3 using TI Connect failed: missing certificate
Sending OS 2.4.3 using TiLP failed: NACK received. Cause: the command has been refused
*both stoped before it started to receive the OS.

Current situation:
Tried to directly send OS 2.4.3 from another device.
But failed after receiving the OS - Validation Error
Now it's like Waiting... Please install operating system now

Anyone got another idea what I could do to fix it?
