Other / iPod Internet Problem
« on: April 03, 2011, 08:01:17 pm »
I have an iPod 3rd Gen running on iOS 4.2.1.
It has been jailbroken with Greenpoison (non-tethered).

I have trouble connecting to my home network, which is N with WEP protection.
I was, however able to connect to my friend's network also with WEP protection.

Here is the odd part: I have been able to connect to the network just fine until I went on vacation last week.  On vaction, I did mess with some of my settings.

I have already tried (multiple times) resetting my network settings, forgetting the network, and renewing my lease.

EDIT: I just noticed that my Network IP is 192.168.x.x, but my ipod's address is 169.254.x.x.

Humour and Jokes / We Need More Quadratic Solvers!!!
« on: March 19, 2011, 06:59:42 pm »
There is a huge problem on ticalc.org: as of now, they have only 144 TI-BASIC quadratic solvers.
How are we supposed to solve the quadratic formula if we have this small amount?

In the way I see it, a growing calculator community should have thousands of quadratic solvers!

Please submit your quadratic solver before the first of April.  Make sure to make your program unique!

If 100 of us submit a quadratic solver, thousands will be happy.

ASM / Uber N00B Question
« on: March 06, 2011, 12:22:26 am »
I am trying to learn ASM on with Hot Dog's tutorial, but I can't compile it.
(Hot Dog is my only hope on ASM. I could not understand any of the others)

I have tried SPASM and Wabbitcode to compile it, and both of them say that the program dosen't start BB 6D.
The program does start with:
Code: [Select]
.org 40339
.db t2ByteTok, tAsmComp

The compiler also lists errors about ti83plus.inc, but I blame TI for that part :P.

Spoiler For other stuff:
I am sorry if it sounds like I have been complaining on so many posts.  I just seem to keep on running into problems.  I am glad that the Omnimaga community is supportive and respectful.

General Calculator Help / TiLP Installation Problem
« on: February 17, 2011, 12:47:58 am »
I have been using Ti-Connect for a while and noticed it has many problems.
I would change to TiLP, but I am having many problems installing it.

Windows 7 Home Premium
64 bit
4 GB Ram
2.4 GHz Processor speed
AVG 9.0 (Paid) antivirus

First of all, I encounter an error with my antivirus.
It says that dhasetup.exe is a trojan horse.  The first time, I blocked it but I allowed it on my second installation.

Then I can't figure out how to install GTK+.  I selected the option to install it, but it always says libatk-1.0-0.dll is missing.

Finally, I tried installing GTK+ on my computer, but I can't figure our how and where to install it to: The readme says "You are
expected to know what to do with it, more or less."

Everyone seems to be having an easy time installing it, but I couldn't even install it on my Vista.  What am I doing wrong?
