Good to see they are still working on it. I'd expect more than this from such a large version bump though.
I think I will wait a while till we know more about the update to see if there are any bad side effects of it.

I purchased it with this parts list http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ruler501/saved/2njOI'm running on it now and it is amazing. I still have to get used to three monitors, but they definitely are useful(though I tend to stay on just two of them at a time). A couple of the parts(CPU, monitor, RAM) were swapped out for the final build for various reasons. I'll upload pics later. For now I'll just say it runs Tomb Raider at 40fps at ultra at 6060x1080(Bezel compensated)

I worked it out and I will probably start ordering the parts for this tomorrow. It might be a while till I get the extra monitors, but I should have this up and running with a single monitor by late october.

I checked and the case says it supports up to 13" cards and the 7970 is 12" so it should work. The specs look close enough and the price is low enough I will just switch out the two cards(and then I can get a cheaper mobo since I don't need to get one with SLI capabilities). With those changes I got the price down about $100 and updated the build.

7970 looks good, but my guess is that when you add in the extra RAM(the version of the gtx770 I was looking at had 4gb) it will be better, but I can't be certain.

I got the idea for the 770 from reading a review for it, but most other cards I see running multiple monitors are in SLI or crossfire which would cost more.

Yeah I meant the 760 and will edit the post to show that. The 700 series seems to be much better for what I'm looking for.

I removed the sound card for now. If I have the money later on to upgrade I'll add it in, but for now the build is looking closer to $1700 with it and that is just a little much for me
EDIT: Does the 760 come with large RAM versions? I've been told that RAM makes a giant difference when you are running with multiple monitors. I'd think 3gb would be plenty, but I don't know if 2gb would work.

The one thing I'm worried about though if I drop graphics card much is that it won't be able to play across all 3 monitors. I know this one will only run skyrim at 50fps on high across all three monitors. Most newer games are more intensive than that and I want this system to last me at least a few years without having to be upgraded.
EDIT:sailerboy is right though. The PSU is the last place I want to skimp. I changed the build a little(removed sound card because cost, upgraded PSU, and moved it to a haswell processor)

I had originally chosen the motherboard when it had a $35 off deal on newegg. I'll look again to see if there are any better deals now. Do you have any suggestions for a motherboard?
EDIT: Looking at the motherboards for haswell and they seem a good amount more expensive so while the processor might only be an added $10 the motherboard is an added $20 or more

Speaking of under volting the nexus 4 can be easily brought down by 100-150 mV. 
So can the S4. It depends on your specific device though for that range. I was actually running at -225 for a while the other day(with underclocking to 81-726)
