TI Z80 / Re: zStart - an app that runs on ram clears

continuing on with the whole "revert to a previous file version" topic, what would be really nice is an option, after having finished editing an archived program, to either get rid of the changes you made (in case you accidentally cleared something important) or save it back to the archive. there was some app or other that had that feature, and i was disappointed when Doors didn't.

jkag, it looked to me (in yesterdays logs, which i read in their entirety) that you were voicing a very strongly held and inconsiderate opinion poorly masked behind a facade of civility. however, i recognise that you said you were going to drop the subject before it got out of hand. dj, then, after he said he was shutting up, was when you started to yell at him to shut up, which caused the situation to continue. at this point, jkag, you should have followed through with your word and left it at that. however, you continued on with sarcastic comments that were meant as targeted attacks. finally, there is the ragequitting post, which, as dj pointed out, is against the rules.

dj, as we all know, reacts strongly, and this isn't the best of character traits. however, when you are intentionally provoking him, as well as making mean-spirited comments which are insulting to a large portion of our userbase (including zeda, and myself as well) don't try to hide it and say that you have done nothing wrong. i am inclined to agree with you in that you may not be coming back.

someone probably could, but i don't know how well it would work with screen scrolling. that would probably slow things down considerably. there's not really any reason for calc sonic to have physics this advanced (eg, all the sticking to walls stuff). it could just determine by your speed upon entering a loop/half loop or something whether or not you are going fast enough to make it around.

Minecraft Discussion / Re: I set up the minecraft server

i tried it out earlier when builder was on and was running into the same issues as finale. mod powers are always fun. i bet you can't guess my minecraft name.

EDIT: i checked the new iteration, and it has the same issues. maybe it's the lag?

here's the stomper. sniper joe is almost the perfect size for 24*24, but a straight conversion, like i did here, is way out of proportion. is that a problem?

oh, and i've forgotten what his flying version looks like. do you have a reference?

Blaster Master / Re: Blaster Master!
« on: August 28, 2011, 04:34:08 am »
we shall see?
i haven't actually implemented bullets properly in game yet because i needed to make it work in a test program first to make sure everything was functioning, so i'm not sure how many it will be able to manage without slowing down. with the size of the screen, though, there will probably only ever be, at most, 8 or 9 drawn at once(including enemy bullets).

Axe / Re: Physics Based Collisions
« on: August 26, 2011, 02:35:57 pm »
/\yeah, objects colliding with one another means that you need to have two loops, one to establish all their locations and then another to check for collisions, rather than just one.
