Well, that's a fairly harmless prank. Intentions are everything where I'm at.

A Flash drive is not a good way to see how an SSD would behave. USB is slower than most HDDs.

Ah, good. That was a real pain.
We can't give you a driver without knowing your hardware. It might be looking for the USB CD Drive's Driver, which you probably got with it, if it's not plug-n-play. 1220

By my school's rules, they'd be violating by taking part in it, which makes sense to me.

Well, if "Everyone" Meant everyone watching the vid, then I think it would be reason enough, since they would all be violating the rules. Everyone in the vicinity is another matter.
It's hard to judge from one viewpoint. 1222

Hmmm
Are you using the USB drive on the laptop? If so, try it with the built-in one. It's probably a USB issue with the installer, which, if they haven't removed it, has been around since windows 2000. If it's not working in a built-in drive, maybe try running a checksum on the iso to make sure it's not missing anything, and if it is, redownload. 1223

It's pretty clear it was something NSFW. Only fair under the circumstances that all the people were watching, otherwise not.

There's your problem. It wants to see a CD drive and there isn't one.
It's probably not necessary for actual running, and just that the installer is a quick hackup. Maybe try plugging in a USB CD Drive? Otherwise, you'll have to modify the installer in some way (near impossible considering you won't have the source and it's most likely hardcoded into the program) 1225

That depends on your Mobo/CD Drive, I would assume.

Mine too.
And wow, that's quite an adventure! Is the TI-80 viewscreen (the actual screen, not the calc) just like the 82-84+ viewscreen or is it different? 1227
Official Contest / Re: [BULLETIN] Cage Matches« on: October 12, 2011, 12:08:50 am »
Well, at least for me, the cage matches were all about making little quick programs, so they should fit in well during off-times when a normal competition wouldn't do well due to lack of time.

I love optimizations like that. It's satisfying to delete a big chunk of code to replace it with a few lines.
