Title: 84+ C Silver Edition downloads sections
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on May 30, 2013, 02:03:07 am
Do you plan to add a TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition downloads section for staff games and members programs?

Also the TI-83+ section in the staff programs isn't ordered properly http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;cat=1

Yeah is there a section? I just uploaded a flash app but I chose TI83+/TI84+ because I couldn't find anything for the C. Or maybe I missed it :(

I assume the CSE programs have the same extension as regular ones? Based on that I think a CSE section would be useful to keep things clear.

Yeah, I believe only the images have a new file extention, I mean, the programs are also encoded the same way with the same tokens meaning the same things, right?
A CSE section would be gooooooood :)

Flash programs use .8ck and assembly programs use .8xp, personally I use the extension .8cp for assembly programs even though its not official it still loads through TI-Connect. In the file format itself, the program version is set to $0A to prevent the file from being sent to a ti83+/ti84+. 84 has $01, 83 probably $00. Also instead of using $6DBB for programs, it uses $69EF.

There has been a 84+CSE section for a few weeks now actually, via Downloads->User-Contributed Calculator Games & Development Tools->TI-84 Plus C (Color) Silver Edition. There are no categories such as ASM/BASIC/RPG/Arcade/Tools, though. And yeah despite CSE programs using 8xp as extension, most of them are not compatible between old calcs and the new one, due to larger screen.

Nice to see you again by the way AssemblyBandit! :)
