Title: German section in Omnimaga
Post by: p2 on July 13, 2011, 12:09:39 pm
What's about a special section in Omnimaga for the German programmers?

If there'll be a german section, more german programmers will join Omnimaga.
And if more german programmers will join omnimaga, We'll need the german section.
And if more german programmers will join omnimaga, all te german omnimaga-members will be happy.

Seriously, though, not a bad idea.

It is because it makes sense :P
Anyway, a German section is a good idea, we will attract lots of programmers and have lots of games :w00t: (but I will understand nothing to what they say ???)

Nope, but the language is not important. We are here to share more than a language: the programming spirit. The only languages I use here are BASIC, Axe and ASM (for me, maybe others speak other languages).

I'm in a favor of a German section, providing there will be enough activity to sustain it.  We had a Dutch (Netherlands and Belgium) forum once but it didn't have much activity, so it was removed.

We're getting a lot of German programmers suddenly. I don't think activity would be a problem. :P

Please note that this poll is not in Spam. If you really have no idea, you can vot "Er... What?" but every opinion counts.

It was Dutch actually. Despite having a decent number of Dutch speaking members here, most of them ended up using the English boards. Many also either left or had drastic drops in their activity.I agree with ztrumpet. I wouldn't be opposed to a German section provided that their is proof of a decently sized and active German userbase.

I'd say with the recent increase in German members we should have a German section. (And I don't even remotely speak German so, yeah) :D

Bearbeiten: Ninja'd :P

(^ I used a translator)  ;)

Yeah a German section would be nice. Hope it won't close like the Dutch one.

@Ztrumpet: Dutch is spoken in both Belgium and the Netherlands btw. ;) Belgium just happens to have a large French speaking population as well.

I just can't be right, can I?
This is why I need to learn more about Europe. ;)

Thanks for all of the corrections, though.  I hope I didn't offend anyone who speaks Dutch.

Lol. I doubt you offended anyone. I'm a bit of a language nerd anyway though. I've read up a bit on these things.

Actually, if I get the support of at least 3-4 German programmers, I think I'll open a section, much like the French one.

I'm also a german programmer and yeah a german section would be very awesome, I think.

I support! :)
It seems that there has indeed been a recent increase in the number of active German users on Omnimaga. Even though I'm able to communicate in English quite well, and probably wouldn't use the forum to ask for help, there might be some other German calc programmers who aren't that good at explaining their problems in English (not like I've seen any on these forums, but there's still the possibility :P), or who may even refrain from registering due to the lack of a German forum (like I did initially, for a few months, worrying my English would be too bad ^^; ). I would certainly be glad to help other German-speakers in their native language. ;)

Support. I don't know german very well, but I know a little bit. I really think it could help Omnimaga grow. As far as I know, no othe calc forums have a German speaking section.

And now that we have a German subforum, how about an #omnimaga-de chan? That way we can put the German SpyBot posts there, like in #omnimaga-fr for French forums.

Well, good idea, provided that channel will be active.

EDIT: Oh yeah, if someone wants to translate the rules, feel free to do so and PM me the results :)

Me and Juju are currently holding the channel. I'll talk to Netham45 about opening a channel there and for New posts as well ( unless Juju did already ).

I think you got ninja'd at least 2-3 times. The boards were already created when you sent me that PM. (Same for p2.) You might want to check if the translations I already have are correct.

And still nobody translated the rules...

I'm on it but don't expect anything from me till tomorrow ( 24 hours from now )
Since I dont't feel like doing hours of translation in one go... ( Exept that I'm worse than I think that's the time it takes )
