Title: Keep up the good work with the posts, people!
Post by: Hot_Dog on August 03, 2010, 04:08:10 pm
It seems like ever since the Bungies left, we've been increasing the amount of posts in order to continue the sites' good reputation!  I've seen good answers to questions, "good job" kinds of comments, and pondering questions that were not asked on other calculator sites.  Most importantly, we've been keeping our community spirit as far as I can tell.

Keep it up everyone, let's show everyone that there's a wonderful reason to join the community.

Actually, I've been posting because it's getting more enjoyable to do so.  With all these progressing projects.

But, I agree with everything else.  ;)  Everybody post!

Absolutely!  Omnimaga can't be killed unless everyone wants it dead, much less one person.  Long live Omnimaga! ;D

Oh, that's true, and probably for other people as well.  I increased because I was really upset about the last couple of weeks.

Well, I meant that we've erased the Bungie-ness.  we were a good community before that, too.

Of course, we will never surrender...so either TI will, or we will have an infinite war on our hands.  I want YOU in TI Community Army

Cruel and unusual punishment? Dude, it's okay. It's just no more Ndless for a while and what they did is not, and never will be, illegal.
I'm not saying I like what they did, but there's nothing we can do about it. They've won. For now. We'll come back again like we always do.

Or the IRC logs. I am sure they'll really hate BrandonW then :P

I noticed that not only activity remained high this summer (proportionally to what we had since March), but traffic also increased. Now let's hope the IRC channel continues this way as well (if SpyBot46 annoys people they can do an /ignore SpyBot46 anyway, as Netham45 separated the bot from OmnomIRC for that purpose :P.). As for the forums one year ago was our most inactive part of the Summer. Now even thought there are people who are away, there are still posts everywhere (even projects). As example:

Day - 2009 post count - 2010 post count
August 1st - 13 - 199
August 2nd - 7 - 306
August 3rd - 11 - 313

In 3 days in Aug 2010, there's almost as much activity as there was in the entire August 2009 month.

In response to the activity remaining high for the Summer and the increased amount of active topics in a day, I've sent a new suggestion to EzPortal team (http://www.ezportal.com/feature-request/ability-to-fetch-active-topics-from-certain-boards-with-recent-topics-ezblock/msg2129/?topicseen#new) for the Recent Topics EzBlock, which we use on the New Posts page (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=5). From what I remember, I was even the one who suggested the recent topic EzBlock. :P

EDIT: Updated august 3rd count since the day is over.

Sadly, as I do not remember the dates, no, but if you are patient, you can check through Netham45 logs at http://netham45.org/irc/EfNet/
