I don't know if it can be done, but I think everyone agrees that it would be nice to know on which posts you got an uprating. Maybe someone could make a link(like 'new posts')that goes to a page where you can see the latestuprated posts.
Or let there be by everyones profile a link called 'View all the uprated/downrated posts of this person'.
I think this would be a great improvement. Ofcourse if this isn't possible or just cant be done, I can understand.

I'd like one for downrated posts, but that others couldn't see... I am ashamed of my downrated posts...
@Stefan: Not sure if it's possible.
-
Could be a nice idea. If someone can do that, that would be cool.
-
Ditto.
-
I don't believe it can be done without some SMF mod.
-
Someone should port the SMF 2.x rating mod to 1.1.x. We use the 1.1.x version which is no longer maintained and lacks many features the new one has.
-
Why does omni use 1.1? Would it be next-to-impossible to update or something?
-
This sounds like a pretty cool thing to get
I would definitely like to know where my post ratings come from. Down ratings please hide from others they are shameful
-
Because SMF 2.0 was not in stable state when Omni was resurrected. Since forum themes are not converted when upgrading, this means I would have to redo the entire forum theme from scratch, something that I do not want, especially that we got 5 different themes right now. Also, several mods we use right now are not available on SMF 2.0.
We definitively need some PHP coders around here that are active so they could code some SMF mods. 90% of the suggested feature additions can't be implemented because of that... X.x
Also if this is done I think downrated posts should at least be available to moderators.
-
What mods are we using? Because, if SMF has their own forum (hopefully a forum system has a forum lol), there's probably a bunch of php coders making mods who might only be too glad to port some code to the later version.
-
Sadly, most people there no longer support SMF 1.1.x and charges money to backport mods. And yes they got their own forums. As for the mods we're using we use about 25 I think, but I don't feel like listing them all.
Also, I go on SMF forums since 2007 and everytime there's a mod request, it's never answered anyway. The person will tell you he's gonna work on it, then tells you he's almost done, then suddently he starts ignoring your topic for months, then you ask what's up and he never replies, or says he lost interest. In most other cases the person vanishes off the face of the earth with the code on him.
Anyway I tend to not trust third-party PHP coders, though. I would rather see an established member here do it. I don't think you're gonna die if you stay for 6 more months without a rating page, right?

O.O

Yeah, unfortunately I can imagine a lot of that happening...

Understandable, and yeah :P

Seems like a lot, slowing down Omni. Any of them we can do without?
-
I doubt they slow it down. On 1and1 after moving the site here I removed them all once and I still had similar speed. A lot of the mods won't apply on every page.
-
This is a great idea. Same for negative votes. If someone didn't like what you said, maybe you could clarify it and add support. Or you could just apologize.
Also I up-rated the original post.
