People have been able to nominate themselves for admin for the past few days, and now you can vote for them here
Once we have selected the admins, we'll be hopefully ready to start putting up videos :D

Well, you're fairly new, so people might not know you as much and might be unwilling to let a new member administrate.
Anyways, since I'm In a tie with spyro, I will devise a promotional speech :P
I've got pretty fast Internet and plenty of time to upload videos.
I'm also pretty good at video editing, and I will do so for any unedited videos uploaded to the server or if anyone requests their video to be edited.
I already have YouTube experience, and in order to promote the channel, I can upload some of the videos from the server onto my channel, which has 800 subs so will hopefully give the channel a nice boost.
I'm be wiling to dedicate a good portion of time towards this channel, and as admin I'll be able to do so. So if you'd like to help me out, go vote! :D

Well, I believe that we should have an OmniMusic Channel as well... in conjunction with Omnimaga... I will create it if elected!
Also, I really think I can do this well...
I have 4 subscribers on YouTube currently, and I edit vids with open source software LIKE A BOSS!!!
That's it... I also have a friend who is really good at special effects, if that'l help...

I think we can integrate everything (music, let's plays of other games (OmniMine)) into one channel and use shows or playlists to organize them.

Hm.... I suppose we could add music to OmnimagaTV, since the title doesn't really suggest that its exclusively calculator.
IMO I think it would be fine if it was in a playlist and there weren't too many videos; maybe several compositions combined into one video

First, I don’t think the channel should have music on it. Maybe it would be actually be good, but I don’t think it should just be random whatever on the channel. I think un-uploaded playlists might be better. In my opinion, I think it would be cool for this to be the most epic calculator channel on YouTube. Every member’s YouTube calculator videos are awesome, but what if they all were on one channel?
Of course, not everyone wants to put their hard work on another channel, and this is the omnimaga tv, not the calculator tv, so music and other things represent the community too. Whatever the admins agree on though.
But since you made an omnimaga music channel,
A poll might be better, but just wondering:
How many people would be willing to upload their music to OmnimagaMusic
And secondly:
How many people would be willing to do it enough that the channel does not get forgotten.
I don’t make music, but if I did I would probably rather put it on my own channel.
The reason I believe in Omnimaga TV is because it might be the only group on YouTube that has a lot of calculator videos. And more importantly, if people are willing, it might be the largest group of good tutorials on YouTube. (As opposed to the scattered tutorials on YouTube, that any of us could communicate it better and more of it.)
Furthermore, what would be so bad with 5 admins? I think _Nicco_ and pimathbrainiac are out of the race. I think all of them are interested enough, so why not include epic7 and Spyro543?
Also, you might should add unofficial to the omnimaga music channel. And I have no idea what DJ_O might think, but he might not appreciate you making an omnimaga music channel when he has a DJ omnimaga channel for music. It might accidentally act like a copy of his channel that steals views.

I like the 5 admin idea, and not just because it confirms my win :P
The top 5 have been around for a while and seem motivated, and its still not a group that's too big.
Plus, if spyro didn't make the top 4, he'd still be able to access the account anyways.
With the separate omnimusic channel, my only concern is because DJ_O already has a music channel...
And if it was combined with omnitv, I think it would be best to combine multiple pieces into one video to prevent having too many music videos

Also: about the music channel: Upload to the channel via a channel admin, or tell us of a vid you put on YouTube and we'll make a playlist... That sound good? I mean... We could still have DJ_O's music, and still be able to keep it his, as well as anyone else who want that...

Well that’s why I think a playlist on omnimaga tv might be better. It is only a playlist, so people won’t see the channel as an unorganized potluck. But people can still see the music playlist, and all musicians that are part of omnimaga. Of course, you wouldn’t get your dream of the music getting a lot of fame.

I'm not sure if electing admins is neccesarily the best option. I agree that the admins should be community chosen but I don't think we need to limit ourselves to 4. I personally think anyone qualified should be able to be an admin.

I definitively think OmnimagaTV should remain exclusively calc-related. You can always incorporate Omni music in the channel by simply re-using the music (with author permission) INSIDE your calculator videos, such as background music for reviews and stuff like that.
As for an OmniMusic channel I don't think it's necessary. Most artists who were or are staff already got their music on Youtube by now, in their own channels.
Also since we didn't get any news from Omni managers about this channel (I think), I think for now the channel title should have "unnoficial" or "fan" appended to it somewhere. They'll most likely take care of this when they have some time or something so I guess we have to be patient for that.

True, plus it isn't uncommon for groups or games to have unnoficial fan groups/clubs and stuff like that.

Ruler has the server up, so you need that password. I believe we are going to upload videos to the server, and you admins are going to approve it, or reject it, and upload it to the channel.
Also, if you are don’t mind it, you might also edit videos for the people if they need it. Epic7 said that he could, and some people don’t have software or skill with it.
Also, one of you might want to make a new thread or post on the omnimaga tv thread about the channel. Who the admins are, how to get your videos on the channel, and most importantl, what videos are allowed on the channel. Since there was a movement to make omnimaga music, music should probably not be allowed on the channel. Also, other videos, such as computer videos, and what types of calc videos.

I'll PM you guys the ftp password also to get the files people upload. If we're starting it one of you guys should start a topic for instructions/guidelines on creating and uploading videos.

If you want to. You already have the link and it is in a public place currently so I see no reason It has to be hidden. Admins can always delete any spam that accumulates and none has come in yet.
Also something you guys probably want to think about is what do you want the text file people upload with the video to include.

Also the passwords will most likely change at least once very soon. Once they're changed Ruler501 and Spyro will forward the respective ones to you. Of course if password change fails for any reason on the server thing, then I guess RUler can just reset it.
Btw if you use non-Omnimaga music for your vids, could you include the song credits so they can be added at the end of the description?

The new chan password was sent to Spyro543. I fixed the channel background in the process (the bottom was broken).
I might attempt at finding every calc programmer or former calc programmer possible that I remember and subscribe to them (the ones with videos, preferably). That way it might be easier to find vids and they might possibly notice and sub back.

I have no idea how strict YouTube is, but when I thought about monetizing my videos, one requirement was that the video cannot have music used without commercial approval.
Of course, monetization was discussed, but in case this became popular, it might be nice for the community.

Yeah, although I am unsure if Omni admins would like to see other people make money off Omnimaga. In such case the money would probably have to go directly to Netham45 (so monetizing would only be possible if Youtube allows you to setup a custom Paypal address (so you can use Netham45's)
And yeah generally you have to own everything in the vid. I wasn't even able to get my very own songs monetized because I had no proof that MTVMG allowed the use of royalty-free samples
