I hope this is the right place to put this....but yeah, Omnom, our new post notification bot, is (again) keep getting 403 forbidden when trying to access the feed ( http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=.xml;limit=1 )
This also happend yesterday at about this time. Could it be that the server blocks it out due to requests every 5 seconds?

It's possible that CloudFlare saw the bot connections as a DoS attack or a spambot. You might want to check with admins to make sure it's exempt.

That is why I made this thread

yeah but some admins usually ignore most topic in the site feedback subforum most days so it might take days before they notice about the it. If you get no answer today you will probably have to send an email to their address.

I tricked now the omnimaga server into not thinking that it is a bot, and it is up and running again! :D
BTW, i did that by setting in the http headers the 'User-Agent' to 'Derpy Hooves'
-
Lol. :P
Anyway nice to hear it works again. :D
-
I just saw this after replying to the other thread and glad you found a solution :)
-
google actually helped me on that one (once again), lol
Also, it doesn't /need/ to be 'Derpy Hooves', but you guys know me ;)
-
Someone with access to CloudFlare could probably put the bot on a whitelist.
-
Hasn't this been fixed? ???

Yes, and as far as I know, Sorunome's IP is already on the whitelist.

Well, the bot runs on withg.
The problem wasn't cloudflare, the problem was omnimagas nginx blocking out python bots, so i had to specify a browser in the url parameters. Anyways, it is working :)

We don't use nginx.

Oh, then it was cloudflare....or idk, something gave me 403 but i overwent it by specifying a browser in the http headers
