As parser padwan noted here: http://omniurl.tk/11155/208382/
EDIT: AH! it keeps saying "database error: Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator." so admin I think something is wrong...
-
again? D:
-
ok it's not just me being stupid... XP
-
It's happening for me too, so it seems to be more than a permission thing or whatever...
-
It happened to me 4 times. I told anyone, though
-
Weird, IO had this happen before when deleting polls. I forgot what I did to fix that, though. An admin would have to ask pm SMF support board.
-
It says something about a database being outdated.
-
Yeha I had this issue with some other forum features before. Once we couldn't even install anymore attachments. Not sure how to update it, though.
-
I did report it. In the post right befor parser's :P
-
Gah! Netham you need to fix poll!!!! <insert puppy dog eyes> ;)
-
Does it happen on every poll? Do you mean we cannot post anymore polls? Or is it just on existing polls?
EDIT: Crap it seems to be with every poll. Why is Netham45 gone? X.x I think one of the mod that was installed conflicts with the poll system...
-
I think on both, I tried to add poll on a topic, and I got the same error. :(
-
Fix'd. Not quite sure what happened, but the default value for one of the columns in the poll table got wiped.
-
Yay!!! :D
netham is awesome!
-
Yay for working polls :D
-
Glad it got fixed. Did the value getting wiped cause any data loss, though? (Such as previous poll results/choices/questions)?
-
Nope.
-
Ok that's good. Btw was this what caused Omnimaga to run incredibly slow Thursday night?
-
No. I checked the request log times and it looks like it was running normally to me.
-
Weird, a lot of people were complaining about slow times. Maybe a low scale DDoS or even DoS attack?
-
It's possible it was a network issue, I don't have logs of network times. What time was it? I've had issues with other people on the same network as me doing intensive backups early in the morning.
-
For the entire thursday evening. It lasted from 8 ish PM until the next morning when I checked Omni.
I think you should check out with your VPS provider about access from east coast users, because he definitively seems to have chosen a terrible VPS location for access by east coast users, because whenever Omni or your logs run incredibly slow, it's only on the East Coast.
-
East cost? I noticed it was slow and I'm on the east coast (US). That explains it?
-
Not sure, but Netham45's VPS has a long history of giving us slow loading times here on the East Coast. Often Netham45 and a few others will say it loads fine for them, but I notice a lot of the people who are affected by slow loading times (when they happen) are from the East Coast. I'm in Quebec, which is kinda close.
-
Hmm. I'm on the East Coast and for me it's on and off. Sometimes there's a wait, mostly though it's pretty fast.
