Title: Posting problem
Post by: Yeong on April 06, 2011, 06:14:39 pm
When I post something, and it has no body paragraph, it won't get posted. If I try to upload the same image with body text after the incident, I can't post image b/c it says it's already been posted. It works after changing a image's name. It's a bug, right?

Hmmm I'M confused about what you mean. Could you clarify a little?

So in first try I post image without body text, it throws me an error.
If I post it again WITH body text, it says the image is already in archive.

Yeah, because it already uploaded the picture or whatever.  Why would you ever create a post with no body text?

I see then.  Okay.  I guess it uploads the picture before checking the text.

It always bugs me when I want to upload something as an update and I forget there is an upload with that name already. THen I go to change the name and resubmit and it still tells me that there is a problem, so I have to completely start a new post XD

Yeah the name existing thing is annoying. Don't ask me why SMF did that. ???

I figured it was something not Omni related XD At least it isn't the TIOS handling it, though XD

If it were TI-OS [2.53] running SMF, then Omni would crash for no particular reason every other day.

Although it wouldn't be as bad as OS 1.13, 1.17 or even 2.71MP. O.O

What I've wondered in the past was if there's a way to search attachments, somewhat like posts.  Say you remember a specific program name but don't know the topic, or you're trying to figure out where that other attachment is that you apparently already posted.

Sadly nope. The only way is to check besides the topic name and click the attachment icon. :(
