And yes, the people-not-posting is probably a mixture of the time of year and not knowing if omnimaga is still there after recent events, so they don't look.
I've been here every day since Omni v3 was born. Most of you have probably noticed my name on the online list most of the time. I'm not leaving anytime soon.
Just give it some time. In two or three weeks posts will go up again.
Look man no offense but you closed this thing ten times by now and deleted it once. If this is the way you like playing with it then so be it, but please make it a private board and don't let people register for nothing, and invest their time in a community that will likely disappear sooner than they can blink. I'm sorry if I sound angry, but if you close the board now, for no valid reason, I will never register here again, ever.
Of course you get few posts for now, lots of people left because they thought it was gone for good the first time you deleted it. Most of them will slowly return, just give them time, and new members will come along as well. I update my projects exclusively here and on my own site, and so do plenty of other programmers. You simply can't expect Omnimaga to return to its old traffic status in only a week, this will take months.
Just to avoid confusion, I will continue to post here and update my projects on Omnimaga.

Meh. Statistics are nice to have, but don't go over them daily and think posts == life.
Sometimes I post and sometimes I do not, but I do read threads. If all you care about is the posts on the site I think you are having the wrong thoughts. Instead you should try to care about the projects and work that is being done here!
Man, you're always thinking about everything so hastily. Just wait a while, a month, and see what happens. People are busy or on vacation, so maybe that's why. Just RELAX.
I silently read, I've never been much of a poster here. But upon request, I'll do more. :)

crap I wish I didnt forgot to mention here that by letting die Omnimaga I meant leaving and stopping posting. actually I meant if it started dying I would prbly do like EPS, stop posting as well, and let the remaining staff run the site until they quit as well, and not hire anyone else. which is why I have other admins, if I disapear for whatever reason (it could be anything, maybe in 2 years I could lose interest in calcs, or something could happen to me, we never know what might happen) at least someone would be able to pick up the site again, and considering we are almost like TCPA in term of amount of staff it would take a long while before it died I think.
I dunno maybe I am not done for running a community, not sure, maybe I should stick to Omnimaga, and not even bother read the other websites at all. Most maxcoderz staff only visit maxcoderz, most UTI staff only visit UTI, most cemetech staff who are not staff elsewhere only visit cemetech. I think its just because of whats happening outside Omnimaga, and the fact I am different from other people here in some way, mostly by my thinkings and my way of acting
I don't visit MC or UTI or Cem, just out of the fact that I don't have time :\.
I have like 2000 posts on maxcoderz, I am still top 3 poster I think , lately it has been mostly debate threads and off-topic stuff, the staff isnt really active anymore in coding. I barely check anymore. Tr1p1ea is still active but he tell me about his stuff on IRC anyway

I c, I understand the staff who were busy tho, I rememebr BCturk was busy with real life and had to stop Pirates developpement for a while, CDI was away, Dragon lance was busy, solitaire is away too. I guess that should be fine now tho. At least if we can manage to keep this active in average whenever we have time it will be cool. Post count isnt really that important but sometimes when someone see a forum with only 600 posts he moves to bigger forums. If it raise nicely maybe next year Omnimaga will shut down again because the server died of a huge influx of traffic on this forum (j/k)
no! do not delete this board! I like omnimaga for the fact that it is a small board where people know eachother and can share there nerdy hobbies. It isn't like most boards which have 31,337 members and is full of people who H4x0R j00!!!!!!!! ANd My mind just exploded. :o
yeah on some forums like UTI and MC there is like 400 members, 40 of which posts regulary (altough MC is less active atm), harder to get known, on Cemetech and Omni there is like between 10 and 20 ppl who posts every day

yep omnimaga is still living, the best thing can do is supporting and be nice with me and the other members now, that way it will help the website developpement even more and I might get motivation again

It was 11:30 and I swear thats how it was in the url yesterday!!! I must be going blind :) On a more serious note, do you think we should put up some topics at MC, UTI, revsoft and all the others advertising this site? It would definatly bring more people back here.....
When we announce the new contests on other forums, I think that'll let them know that omnimaga is back.

ec2 I know Dragon lance had it in his sig on maxcoderz for a while but he spelled dyndns wrong :P
if u dont have space in your sig you could also put the URL in the http:// field of your forum control panel if you want

Ok, I'll update all my signitures everywhere and put up some topics in the Off topic areas promoting Omnimaga.
I would put the omnimaga bar in my sig...

That'd be sweet if we kept activity up, I'm getting closer to the finish of the Forum RPG so hopefully once we finish that up that will help boost up activity even more. Also, one of the big things thats cutting down on our daily posts is the lack of couting games/word association games. In those two forums alone, we probably had about 25-50 posts a day.
Yeah I decided to not have a spam forum until we reach like 500-10000 posts again because I dont want the spam forum to be twice bigger than the rest of the forum at such low post counts >.< it would make Omni have a reputation of spammy forums ;)

true. I think there are a few of us who could take admin status and help cripple this thing along if need be, maybe not at full force though
if that had to happen maybe I would have the remaining admins email me if they ever want to quit so I can make an old staff admin or hire someone else
