when i started with omnimaga, i was distrustful of forums. thankfully i found a forum that would make me comfortable in the region that is important: forums
The name of the forum was OMNIMAGA and i would like to thank all on omni in helping me in trusting forums  XD ;D :D :)

Glad to hear. :D Omnimaga always tried to provide an hostility-free environment. Of course some backlash can still happen but that's life. Glad you enjoy the site and I hope you stay for a while. :)

Always good to hear, we are a place where we are as friendly as possible :)

I'm confused by what you mean ???

I guess he's talking about the new theme.
Which on second thought is sorta nice but I still prefer v5/v6.

No offense, but in general, the less mature an Omni user was (such as myself :P), the less he prefers the new theme. Younger users or less mature ones tend to prefer fancy site designs with plenty of animated GIFs, Flash and full of hardcore backgrounds/banner elements. Back in the days, this was the norm among gaming sites, which is why Omni went with such theme, but nowadays simpler designs became popular again among people who prefer simpler/professional stuff. I personally like the old theme better, but with this new theme, my monthly bandwidth bill at home will be lower (the background in v6 was almost 1 MB large O.O). It took me a while to get used to the current theme, though, and I wish that the dark gray was given a slightly blue-ish tint, to match the v2.5 color scheme better.
If I was still admin/president, the new forum theme would have still been much simpler than v5/v6, although not as much. Calc screenshots would have remained somewhere in the banner or background and the site would have used v4 as color scheme, but everything would have been made as simple as possible to reduce image usage.
That said, SMF 2 had to be rushed in earlier than expected because there were many security exploits discovered recently, which caused serious problems, apparently. I would rather have certain features still not fully completed than having my e-mail, password and other personal info handed to anon without me knowing.

It's not the random bandwidth eating dirty hacks that I liked, more the color scheme and banner.
-
Yeah personally I would like some calc elements back in the site. Granted, the site color scheme is the same as a TI-84+ calc now (take an actual calc and put it side by side your computer screen while Omni is open. Notice also how buttons are sometimes green), but a small strip of screenshots somewhere would be nice.

Yeah. I really liked the blue colors though. Also the colors of a non backlit monochrome LCD don't look the same on a nice and big backlit LCD (even worse if it has a glass pane like tablets and phones).
-
Actually on Juju's tablet, if I look from the right side, the site backgrounds are all blue and it looks kinda cool. :P
-
Hey, you're right, it's kinda blue.
-
Yeah that's what I kept telling you at your home the other day and you seemed to have no clue what I mean. :P
Basically, your tablet LCD is from 1995 (or just plain suck). Even my samsung i5510 screen doesn't even come close from doing that :P
