Whenever a post can't be submitted because of an error, and it happens to have an uploaded file, no matter what the error is, it says that the filetype is not allowed, even if it is. Just to let everyone know that there isn't something wrong with the file upload system.
EDIT: Sorry if this is confusing. What happened was that I tried to submit a blank post with only an uploaded file. Instead of warning me that the message body was blank, which it would have done if there were no uploads, it assumed that the error was caused by a disallowed file type. So it told me that the file wasn't allowed, even though it was a GIF.

Yeah i noticed that. Sadly, not much can be done since it might be due to 1and1 having some slow downs sometimes. Now that 500 errors are a bit less frequent, on the other hand the site might be slower when those errors would have happened otherwise. Also, clicking back won't do it. You need to copy your post, refresh the page then try again to attach the file.

Yeah i also had troubles when uploading a screenshot and getting an error x.x weird things can happen like it says i already uploaded it and so i have to go back and rename it or something x.x

That's too bad then. But then it might be a good thing, since otherwise every topic would eventually have a file called TheGame.gif or something similar :P

Yeah, I always wondered why we couldn't do that, considering on the server the file names are encrypted. It's annoying when you tried like 6 names in a row and might suck when we have like 6000 attachments.

Ya, I've had that same name thing happen to me. I just got tired of it so if I'm uploading multiple files I just go back and add random numbers or random something to the end so I know it'll be taken :P

img. removedfromgame. com. It's in omnimaga.org->misc->one of the link on that page. It's {AP} img hosting service. He added it because imgshack is soemtimes very slow and people signatures slowed down OmnomIRC and the forums a lot.

Yeah a lot of forum users have been using it for a while already. A while ago, I had to PM some people telling them I removed parts of their sig or avatar due to slowdowns x.x
