Title: Axe's in-app help section
Post by: Darl181 on May 04, 2011, 12:28:30 am
I've been curious for a while about that "help" option that shows up when Axe is started up.
What is planned be put inside of it?
Fix tokens index, L# volatility explanations, other tricks like the backup key and such?
Or some sort of document, explaining what Axe is?

Isn't that already in the documentation ?

Yes, but it might be nice to have something on-calc so one wouldn't have to dig out the documentation just to find out what L5's side affects are.

True but I think it would increase much the size of the app, and this kind of things can be done by yourself :)

Yeah, me too I would like something like CtlgHelp, but for Axe. When I program, most of the time, I don't have access to my PC to check the docs on it, so it would be nice if we could check it on-calc, at least the token usage. Also, that could be a separate app, so you can delete it if you don't need it to save space.

Yeah juju it's a good idea, an external app with ( almost ) all informations. Lets see if someone will do that :P

According to Quigibo the second page (currently used for commands) is still really empty, so there should be room for something there. There's already a Help tab, anyway.

There's a help tab, but we're thying to decide what would go in it. :P

Just had another random thought: maybe axioms can be adapted for something like this, and the Axe app can search for them.  Ofc it would be optional.

[offtopic] Actually, what's the link with the axioms of Euclid and Axe's axioms? I just realized :D[/offtopic]
Also, an in-app help section would be cool.
