Guessing Game
« on: July 31, 2014, 04:28:57 pm »
I looked on Ticalc and didn't find one. So I'm making one.
I've currently finished the main gameplay and difficulty levels. I'm going to post the source when I back up my V200. :)

Difficulty levels:
Easy: 10 guesses
Medium: 5 guesses
Hard: 3 guesses

Here it is, the un-if/when-optimized version

guess is the latest (mostly) optimized version
guess 1 is the settings test
guess 2 is the normal, un-modified version.

I'm going to optimize guess and make a guess 3 now :P

will release after I finish moving.

bump

I released this game to ticalc. Strangely, it didn't show it on the front page where new files are shown.
Here's the link

It probably didn't show up since there are too many guessing games on ticalc (especially for the TI-83+ series) and they are probably now passing them under the radar to avoid cluttering the latest files list.

At one point in 2004-07 they even stopped accepting new guessing games entirely, but then they started splitting game directories by genre and started accepting guessing games again.

o.O
It's the only 68k one I think. I checked for other BASIC ones, but didn't see any. Hence the idea.

Well what's this ?
Seriously, quad solvers and WFRNGs are always already done.
I own: 83+ ; 84+SE ; 76.fr ; CX CAS ; Prizm ; 84+CSE
Sorry if I answer with something that seems unrelated, English is not my primary language and I might not have understood well. Sorry if I make English mistakes too.

(Darn, I wasn't careful enough checking)

I'm going to make something else that doesn't involve random numbers, as I think most of my programs have them.

Well, the reason why not many guessing games show up for 68K calcs is that fewer people made games for it, especially in Basic. Also most number guessing game programmers can't spell the game title right. :P

Game title typos :P

That's one reason I now program for it in BASIC, and my suspicion that it didn't show up.
