Title: [TI-BASIC] tilemap in xlib...
Post by: woods_dragon on November 05, 2005, 11:14:00 am
so i need to make the outline for an arena, well  i had been usin sprites and no tilemap... if i had somethin like
 XXXXXXXXXXX
 X                X
 x                x
 X                X
 xxxxxxxxxxx
except bigger and with sprites of a wall...
i was using a loop with x and a second loop inside counting y up to 10, then x,y would have a coorisponding value in [a]. that value would be used to place a sprite on the map.... so it was really slow.... like 5 second ( i think).

i need to know how also so i can make an map w/ places to visit.....

huh? did u use the xLIB SPRITE-routine or the TILEMAP-routine?
I think u used the SPRITE-routine for making a map %)rolleyes2.gif

use the TILEMAP-routine instead ( real(2... instead of real(1... )
it needs more inputs, but with a 8*12 tilemap it
