Title: Correlation Compiler
Post by: tilky on September 24, 2012, 03:20:19 pm
So i read the Custom Font SDK guide to make custom fonts and i understood it and everything, but i don't know where to find the actual compiler.  Can anyone link me to it?

I am confused, is this in relation to the Correlation project?

correlation was never finished. there are betas available here (http://ourl.ca/9937), but you'd probably be better off checking out batlib or grammer from xeda here, as they are actively maintained still.

EDIT: oh, and correlation doesn't have a separate compiler; it's a flash app that uses hooks to extend the functionality of BASIC programs.

there are links under Major Community Projects on the Forum tab, we have a search engine (although be sure to use it from the home screen), and there is a grammer link in xeda's signature just above.

here, though:
batlib (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=151.0)
grammer (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=199.0)

If you use Grammer, the fonts only affect Grammer programs. BatLib, on the other hand, has several options that can change your font during normal OS routines. However, zStart (http://ourl.ca/10110/315102) (from thepenguin77) is probably the best option as you can create and edit fonts directly on the calculator with a user friendly editor :)

Yeah, I use zstart and the fonts also stay on ram-clear which is pretty cool :P

If we're going to link him, we might as well get him the one with an updated readme. zStart on ticalc.org (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/429/42907.html)

(Though, to be fair, the one in my signature will always point to the most recent update in the forums)
