if I could only get it to work at all, someone already tried Castelvania series? รถ
-
Kid Dracula doesn't transfer to calc :'( so unless someone else can get it to work, you might as well put it under not compatible.
-
Did you try with other games as well? It could be a transfer problem rather than incompatibility
-
Metroid II transferred and works fine so I'm assuming incompatibility
-
I need to try LSDJ...
EDIT: nope, garbage on screen :(
it doesn't crash, though
It was a demo version, too, because the full versions requires password to be downloaded. Also I'm unsure if it should be added to the list above since it's a homebrew ROM?
-
Well, Kid Dracula transferred when i updated to the second alpha, but is near unplayable (super slow). Soo,yeah.
-
mhmm then I guess this one is compatible, or sort of. Slow doesn't meant nececessarly incompatible, but we never know, since most other games seemed rather fast enough to be playable
-
I mean REALLY slow. Here's the app if you want to look at it yourself: www. link.to/illegal_stuff/against_omnimaga_rules.thx
-
Thanks for the link but I removed it since it's against our forum rules to distribute copyrighted material :P Calc84maniac knows a lot of these file sharing sites anyway ;)

That... is an awesome way to cut out a link.
-
yeah I generally just do *snip* in red bold, like Invisionfree staff does when someone advertises, but this time I just decided to do something else :P
-
Sorry about that. but anyway, Kid Icarus: Myths and Monsters isn't compatible. Game freeze after start screen.
(EDIT: Tamagotchi also doesn't work. Same problem.)
-
"The Amazing Spider Man" and "Pac-Man" work
you can add those to the epic win list. :D
-
Unfortunetly 'Mortal Kombat' Doesn't work, I'm using the latest patch and a TI-84+SE from 2005
EDIT: More Games that don't work are as follows:
Contra
Final Fantasy Adventure
Final Fantasy Legends 3
Mystic Ninja - final
Castlevania1(CRASHES CALC) - final
some arn't final, they may actually work. I have to try them on real calc and fool with thim a bit.
EDIT2: Some that work!
StarWars
Alien3
Castlevania2
Ninja Gaiden
EDIT3: THESE WERE TESTED WITH TIBoy-SE 0.0.2

I have tried Pokemon Blue version, and it seems to work in wabbitemu. However, somehow, the character was constantly trying to move up when I'm not even pressing anything, and could not get him to move anywhere (he was right under the SNES gaming system, and tried to go upward)... So I never got to battle or even get him out of his room :P. I'm thinking either the Rom was bad, or it's incompatible, or my wabbitemu's messed up (but other programs like Kerby works fine)....
Then, I transferred to my calc, and crashed where two pokemons come out and fight in the opening... Never got to any of Ash throwing pokeball or naming of character or whatever :'(
-
more that don't work:
Mortal Kombat 1
Mortal Kombat 2
Mortal Kombat 3
-
One that works =P:
Nemesis
but its hard to play since you have to be able to see the whole screen
-
Super Mario Land was mentioned as one that doesn't work. With the latest update (yay finally compatible!) It seems to work fine.
-
Add "F-1 Race" to the Good Compatibility list...
Works fine, but where turns should be (and a sign should pop up) the track just plows right along in a straight line, no sign or anything, start to finish.
Validated that the .gb was correct using visual boy advance, so there's a bug.
(also can the list be updated to reflect the newest version? TIA)
EDIT: Tried VRally-Championship Edition and the main menu didn't work properly...instead of just one option flashing all of the options would flash at the same time. So, also "Good Compatibility."
-
Move Super Mario Land to Good compbility I have it on my calc on does have 1 or 2 bugs Kib's Dream Land move it to Good compatability if totally zoomed in and press alpha a glitch happens
-
Please explain what you mean by the Kirby's Dream Land glitch. Are you using the sprite follow feature? I am aware that the camera jumps around in that case (which happens to be because the air sprites replace Kirby in the sprite list temporarily). I plan on making a smarter sprite follow feature in future version.
-
Smarter sprite following would be great, it's fun when you're zoomed in all the way in SMB then pick up a star :P
Tried final fantasy adventure in wabbit (84PBE) and it was blank. Like, nothing happened for a couple minutes on the max speed. ON quit, tho, so idk
-
From my testing, Final Fantasy Legend 1 and 2 seem to work, and I haven't gotten around to testing 3 yet.
I had the same issues that Darl had with Final Fantasy Adventure.
The Pokemon Trading Card Game and Pokemon Yellow work, though.
-
Hi guys. Great system by the way, this works excellently for me. However, I have to ask, does pokemon yellow work completely (IE with saving and stuff)? Because I remember an earlier topic about the 32k saves being too large or something... though I can't seem to find it now. Thanks a lot.
EDIT: Ah, shit. Doesn't work on the new ones.

It depends on your calculator model's revision. Details are in the readme.

Yes that is the glitch I'm talking about

hmmmm i think your ROM may be corrupted or you just don't have enough RAM left on your calc. Try clearing the RAM then playing again. If not, delete the app, make sure you have enough memory, then reinstall it. DO NOT JOSTLE THE CALC OR CORD OR IT MAY CORRUPT THE APP.

It's highly unlikely that the jostling the calc cord would corrupt it. In fact, Apps go through signature checks (Unless you've turned that off like I have) to prevent corrupted and bad apps from getting through, so it wouldn't matter.
That is a weird bug. I would just assume it wasn't compatible unless other games do it too. (ie, non pokemon games)
-
Megaman works with ok compatibility
Avenging Spirit doesn't work at all

If the gameboy uses a method for displaying sprites similar to the method used by the NES, this would make a lot of sense

Yeah, there are 40 slots that sprite data can be placed in, and the sprite follow feature latches onto one of those slots. There's not really a good way to tell if the sprite in the slot changes to something that shouldn't be followed.
