I dragged and dropped the pokemon red rom file into the exe and named it. i then added the .8xk file to TI connect but it says its incompatible please help

That's because Pokemon Red port is build for the TI-83+ calculator series (83+, 84+, 84+ Silver). You might want to look at this instead: http://www.omnimaga.org/ti-boy-se-game-boy-emulator-for-ti-83se84/official-ti-boy-cse-alpha-thread/
(Forgive me if I'm wrong; I don't actually use TI-Boy)

So i have to return to alpha to make it work? isnt that worse? are there other roms that could work or is it the file extension? thanks

Make sure to download the latest version. You need a ROM of the Game Boy game then use the converter that comes with TI-Boy CSE to use it on your calculator.

No problem. In case you are not familiar with all calc models, the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition is the black and white ancestor of the color screen TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition.

i keep getting errors :( I tried to add Classic NES Mario gb rom to it and during the transfer it aborted saying something about a thread exiting.

I fixed it, I reset my ram and got pokemon blue working. thanks anyway :D

Is there anyway to increase the framerate/performance or are there other games that run smoother than pokemon?
