I got a Ti-nspire and "Upgraded" to the latest OS accidentally . I then tried installing a previous version and it gave me the error: "The Operating system file is corrupt or invalid. Please go to education.ti.com to get a new OS file." I am wanting to install ndless to play games. I am willing to do a little coding if that will fix it.

Welcome to Omnimaga.
Unfortunately ndless is not currently compatible with os 3.6, and there is no simple way to downgrade. Unless you have an a-I version cx cas or an older model, then their is no way to downgrade. If you do, then look at this thread to downgrade. http://ourl.ca/20292

How to downgrade Ti-Nspire CX 3.6 (Non CAS) to 3.2 CAS O.S
Current:
- Ti-Nspire CX 3.6 (non CAS)
Now, You want to downgrade Ti-Nspire CX CAS 3.2. Ok!
Step 1: Download [ nLaunchy 3.2/3.6 switching pack ]

Extract: NL_3.2-3.6_switchpack\TI-Nspire CX\ndless
- Send : the [ndless] folder =>>> Ti Calculator
- On Ti Calc / Open [ My Documents ] //// you see [ndless] folder. pess Enter 'ndless_installer' and then [ Y ]
After that, press [ 2] and [ 2 ] ....and [ 0 ] to complete installation.
Exit
Step 2: Download ROM 3.2 Ti-Nspire CX CAS
- Run file: TNOC_en.exe Link: http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=1922&short=1 (http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=1922&short=1)
check Delete boot2
- Rename new file: TI-NspireCXCAS-3.2.3.1233_b.tcc to [ phoenix.tns ]- Copy file: phoenix.tns to [ NL_3.2-3.6_switchpack\TI-Nspire CX\non-CAS\nlaunch ] on PC.......overwrite
- Copy [ nlaunch ] folder in [ NL_3.2-3.6_switchpack\TI-Nspire CX\non-CAS\nlaunch ] to Ti Calculator
- Press [ Reset ] button back: Operating system not found. Install now.
- Connect and copy file: nlaunch.tco in ( NL_3.2-3.6_switchpack\TI-Nspire CX ) on PC. It will reboot

If there're troubles. You should do:
1. Press and Hold (4 keys): Doc + Enter + Ee and Release [Reset] Button
[ 2 ] and [ 1 ] ....and then [Enter]
You can install new OS
2. With fail belong to NSC MP V4 Diag (http://www.omnimaga.org/general-calculator-help/nsc-mp-v4-diag/msg352563/#msg352563). You can do:
Press and Hold (4keys): Esc + Menu+-and Release [Reset] Button to disable diag test
3. Everything...You can do:
Release [ Battery rechagreable ] about 3 - 5 second to clear fail

I have a TI Nspire CX nonCAS hardware version D boot1 3.0.99 boot2 3.10.16 running a working CAS OS 3.1.0.392
I would like to Ndless it.
If I send to my calculator the .tcc installer the computer tells me it’s a “wrong handled type for the OS being sent”.
If I send to my calculator the .tco installer the OS installation goes forever, it never ends, there is a window in the Student Software with a loading bar that does not move on from 60%.
Is there a way I could proceed??

EDIT: Problem solved. I didn’t know that Nlaunch has it’s own Ndless installer.
I just needed to put the ndless_resources.tns into ndless folder and reboot the handheld. That easy.

Hello, guys this is my first post as well I have followed the tutorials on how to load CAS software to non CAS sucessfully and have ran 3.1 and 3.2 CAS OS positevely and trough my exams! but now I want more LOL I want to install ndless 3.1 as the previous post said, I can't get the ndless installer to complete the install it stays on 60% and no more, even after sending the correct .tco installer and ndlessresources file to my handheld.
What can I do?

There are now Ndless 3.6 and even 3.9, pick the one corresponding to your version.
If you have 4.0 however, you're stuck for now.

Maybe I didn't explain myself very well, the problem is that im currently running 3.1.0.392 CAS OS that I loaded with nlaunch to my C series non CAS, so according to my logic that version is adequate for running ndless 3, so what I did was created an ndless root folder, dragged the ndless _resources.tns file and then dragged the installer to that dame folder, the install begins I get the OS warning, click yes then the progress bar gets stuck in the same place always and never completes.
Hope this explains my issue a little better,and thanks for the support!
