Title: Fractions in TI Nspire CX?

So, I own a TI-Nspire CX (Rev.D, OS 3.1 Ndless) and a CASIO fx-9750GII (jailbroken it thinks it is an fx-9860).


It pisses me off that, when I do sin(pi/3) on my high-end TI, it gives me 0.866..., while my low end CASIO gives me the result in a fraction ((square root of 3)/2). Can I do it on my CX?

Sadly enough, exact calculations aren't a feature of the non-CAS Nspires.

- With nLaunchy, it's possible to install the CAS OS. However this is forbidden in case you're still in school and if they want non-CAS calcs.

- Basic programs like mExact (https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=1884) can get exact values of some forms.

- Lua Programs like SuperSpire (https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=29172) can do that kind of stuff in a nice way :

However those require 3.2+. You can upgrade to 3.6 (not 3.9) to still keep Ndless compatibility, though.

damn. I like my calc having permanent Ndless, and I use apps not compatible with 3.6 ndles... but ty
