How to install ndless 3.1 on a CX with the CAS exploit ? My os is 3.1.0.392
-
You can follow this tutorial: http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&lang=en&t=8677
If it doesn't appear in English, try hitting the flag in the upper-right corner.

Yeah, but install Nlaunchy and Ndless 3.6 instead. It works on 3.1.
-
the os installation is stuck 60% It wont install its it because my cx has cas installed?
-
If your calc is saying "Ndless installed", then don't care about the PC, unplug your calc, press OK, wait for it to reboot (close the software on your computer in the meanwhile) and enjoy Ndless :D
Yeah, but install Nlaunchy and Ndless 3.6 instead. It works on 3.1.
Ndless 3.6 is a lot less stable than Ndless 3.1. And OS 3.6 has more bugs than OS 3.1. So except if you want SD2, I don't see the point of putting 3.6, even though nlaunchy, especially if it's Ndless that you want.
-
ok when i try to install nlaunch the calc reboots
-
Could I install cas on the cx with 3.6 os ?
-
No you can't. Also please do not double post, the edit button is there for a reason.

What I mean is, Ndless 3.6 works on OS 3.1 according to Matref. Didn't have the chance to try it.
-
its not working installing ndless the installation bar is staying the same for 5mins
-
Ndless 3.6 doesn't work on 3.1, what are you talking about ???
-
never mind I got it thank you but can you install cas on 3.2 on the cx

That's what Matref told me. Why would there be two ndless_resources ?
-
Is it possible to install cas on the cx with 3.2?
-
You can, but no Ndless.
-
Except if he installs a switching pack with 3.1 CAS (and Ndless) and 3.2 CAS (without Ndless, ok).
-
How does a switching pack work?
-
Once installed, you can reboot your calc as usual or rename a "phoenix_old" file into "phoenix" and when rebooting, your calc will boot the other OS so you'll be able to switch between two OSes.

same here.

you could run two os??? could you run CAS v 3.1 and CX v 3.6? on the same device without reinstallation?
-
I have a TI Nspire CX nonCAS hardware version D boot1 3.0.99 boot2 3.10.16 running a working CAS OS 3.1.0.392
I would like to Ndless it.
If I send to my calculator the .tcc installer the computer tells me it’s a “wrong handled type for the OS being sent”.
If I send to my calculator the .tco installer the OS installation goes forever, it never ends, there is a window in the Student Software with a loading bar that does not move on from 60%.
Is there a way I could proceed??
Regards.

nlaunch has it's own ndless installer, just put ndless_resources.tns into /ndless and reboot.
BTW: This topic is fairly old, you should make a new one and/or let someone move your post into a new topic.
