Very strange, judging those versions I don't think it's a prototype.
If you slightly tap your device, does that do anything? (Just seeing if it could be a hardware problem with a jumper or similar)

It happened again and I have pictures but it is not letting me post a picture when I hit the "picture" icon.  Suggestions?

It must be a hardware problem.  I did tap it on the back and hit the reset button and now it is facing correctly.

Post it as an attachment or go to http://img.ourl.ca/ and paste the url inside [img][/img] tags
Also, don't 'double post', or post two posts in a row. use the modify button to the top right of the post.
