Title: Nspire TP get into hibernate too often
Post by: creeras on September 22, 2014, 07:47:02 pm
Model : Nspire TP 3.2.0.1212. (white-black color)

Problem :
Quote
1. Set HH Setup Hibernate : 5 Days
2. Power off(=ctrl+on) the calc at night.
3. Next morning clicking power on button, booting progress bar show up
(doesn't it means calc was hibernate mode?)

I thought it is because of the battery was out.
So replaced AAA 4 alkaline batteries all to new ones.

But the problem was not solved.

Only when setting it to 'hibernate : NEVER',
Problem(Booting Progress Bar) doesn't shows up.

Is it the only solution??

P.S)
1. No other problem without it

2. I used smartphone rechargable battery for calc 1 years ago.

Strange that this happens. Do you have Ndless installed by the way?

No other OS or app isn't installed.

My document is empty.

Booting Progress bar means two possibility (I think)
ⓐ Calc was normally get into hibernate mode for any reason
ⓑ There's power problem (battery or capacitor) occured, so calc was shut down accidently.

Is there any difference between ⓐ, ⓑ that can be examined after reboot?

Other Test

* Setup
Power Standby : 3 Minutes

Click 'OK' and wait until screen's off.

Exactly 3 Minutes later,
Screen is off.

Maybe internal clock (generator) is fine.
(No faster of slower)

I observed calc about a week.
But the symptom wasn't provoked again. (regardless of setting, and batteries)

Maybe there was some bad connect of battery,
so calc was turned off from standby mode.

Thanks for watching this aticle.

Strange, it's possible that the calc was either rebooted by mistake or the battery had a bad connection. Or perhaps something caused it to crash? I remember on OS 1.6 I once had my calc reboot and everything was gone mysteriously.
