Tinspire 3.9 Switching Pack

(1/1)

sadsadsadsa:
Ok so heres my question

Right now I am on 3.1 ndless and have 3.6 switching pack. There is no tutorial for a switching pack between ndless 3.1 and 3.9 or 3.6 ndless and 3.9 etc.

Is it possible?
Can I use the same method used to install 3.6 swithcing pack but use 3.9 firmware instead?
Will it brick my CAS?
Or is it simply not possible?
- I love the speed of 3.9 and the ability to find the area of curves

If anyone has and hints or clues to whether there is a way to do this or if its possible it would be much appreciated

Thanks

Sorry, there is currently no 3.9 switching pack. If you got an older model (hardware revision A through I. See end of serial number) then you have to buy an RS232/TTL adapter on Ebay or elsewhere to flash your calc in order to downgrade from OS 3.9, then you can install OS 3.1 and/or 3.6 using the existing tutorials. If you got a newer model (hardware J and higher) then you are screwed (at least until Ndless developers figure out a way to install Ndless on OS 3.9, which might take several months).

Shi*, I guess Im stuck on 3.1ndless/3.6 for now anyone know how to get the new area of curve feature on older tinspire CAS

DJ Omnimaga:
In case you are still checking the site every now and then, an utility to downgrade from OS 3.9 has just been released at TI-Planet:  http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=172099&sid=fb36298f23817f0a43d587b870cf0c4b#p172099

I don't know if this would allow you to switch between OS 3.1 and 3.9 but if you ever need to use OS 3.9 for a while, then at least now you can go back afterward. Of course I always recommend sticking with OS 3.1 and 3.6, but I know that some schools force students to upgrade to the latest OS.
