Title: CleverCalc v1.0
Post by: LDStudios on January 14, 2014, 11:12:06 pm
Lately Ive been working on a program, that is so smart, its probably smarter than you.
You probably want to see it, so heres a screenshot:

I plan on improving UI later :P

Anyways, the algorithm is pretty complex, so itll be a while before its done.
So far, it has an IQ of about 760, im trying to get it up to 10,000 before i release a version.
That said, expect the first release sometime between Feb 1 2014 and April 25 2064 :)

2064 seems a bit early for a deadline; remember that calculator projects never truly die. :)

This is starting to work pretty well, but its a lot of work and im not ready to release a version quite yet. I added a poll to help me know what features i should work on most.

No, then we would have 2 amazing things come out that day, CleverCalc, and Flipnote Studio 3d. April 1, 2013 is a good date to shoot for. :P

As long as it's over Holly's IQ of 9000 I'll be very happy. I hope it's OK with helping me out on tests.

This would be nice, but I wish the Nspire had online capabilities like gCn (without requiring a $200-300 adapter), since if you could submit your stuff online, the bot could learn even faster, like Cleverbot. On the other hand, you could end up with the bot rickrolling you non-stop or asking you if you want a TI-Nspire CX. :P

I'm glad there is some interest in this program.
Unfortunately, I've been a little distracted lately, so its not too far,
And there is still a lot more work to be done,
but I promise to get it done by my deadline in 2064
Anyways, I'd be happy to have some people test it before I release, so I will be sure to get back to you.
Thanks everyone for all of the support :D

"Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days.

Well, I am sure I want to reply. :P
This is being worked on again!
I started over from scratch, because my programming skills have improved a lot since the time that I started this project.

Here's a screeny so far:
(http://img.ourl.ca/CleverCalc.jpg) (http://img.ourl.ca/CleverCalc.jpg)

It's already more organized, and more intelligent than the original version ever was.
I would expect a release within the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

(Yes, I am still working on my RPG and other projects, but I need a lot of projects to keep from getting bored)

Indeed. :P

Also, can it make you lose ? That's an addition you may want to consider, as well as replying to rickrolls.

Clever Calc now has the ability to learn. Inputs you give are added to its memory and it spits them back out when it thinks they will make sense. I'll release an alpha version soon.

Indeed. :P

It has way to much fun doing so :P (its off screen, but the last message before this screen shot was "Have you lost the game today?")

Unfortunately, I'm very busy with a lot of different projects right now. I'm also going on vacation soon. Probably in a few weeks, sorry for the delay.

It's not too great yet, but I'm not sure I'll ever end up working on it again. So, I've decided to release a beta version of what I finished.

Commands:
/learn- turns on learning
/reset- resets learned data
/math- does math (ex: /math 1+1)
/help- returns a list of some of the possible commands
/screen- returns screen dimensions
/view- returns current view
/language- returns the current language
/russianroulette- plays a game of russian roulette

Feel free to let me know how it goes, but I probably won't ever update this.

No, but if you lose, the program encounters an error and you have to exit out and reopen it.
