Title: ndless installed on ti nspire cx 3.6 with hardware revision M
Post by: nnapior on June 18, 2014, 04:34:25 pm
Hi, I am EXTREMELY new to the ti nspire scene. I just picked up a ti nspire about an hour ago and my friend explained to me about installing the CAS operating system along with some games blah, blah, blah... Anyways I decided to go ahead and install this on my new calculator with his assistants and the first thing we did was install ndless. and... it worked. No flaws calculator works just fine. Now I need to install nlaunch and as made very apparent this is impossible to do on revision j<, but I also read ndless is impossible to install on revision j<. So if ndless installed shouldn't nlaunch? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ndless 3.6 can be installed on any hardware revision, but nlaunch(y) can't. That's why you can for example install Ndless but not have it reboot-proof, or why you can't have a CAS OS on your non-CAS calc. But at worst, KhiCas is out now (http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=166225&lang=en) and lets you use a CAS on any Ndlessed calc. You'll just not be able to use programs that need the CAS OS.
