Does anyone knows the pin names/descriptions of the bottom port in the nspire CX CAS? (i guess i would be the same as the non-CAS version, there is a photo to clarify which port i am talking about. Source: http://www.datamath.org/Graphing/JPEG_NSpire_CX_EZ.htm)
Basically, what i want to do is to try to control an external device through this port. My first goal, to keep it simple, is just to turn on/off a led, but i need the info about the pins in order to know which one i should use.
btw, i know i would have to use ndless, with ndless 3.1 is enough? or do you think i would have to use ndless 3.6?

There's that topic (http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13193&p=149999#p149967) on TI Planet dealing with this port. It is in French but it gives a link to an English description of those ports (http://hackspire.unsads.com/wiki/index.php/Hardware#Connector_J01_-_Dock_connector). I personally can't tell you more about those though.

Only few of the pins are known. That said you could use the known ones as gpio indeed.

thanks Hayleia, i already known that hackspire site, but it was a bit confusing because they say that the dock connector is J01, but on my device the dock connector is named J05. I will check that topic on TI planet and try to understand more about all that stuff.
As a side note, i have tried to supply an external led through the mini usb port (i actually used a mini usb adapter to have more space between pins) but an strange error message apears and cut's off the power supply of the mini usb port until i connect another device to it.
The message is as follows: "Disconnect and reconnect the USB peripheral attached to handheld; if problem persists make sure the battery in your Cradle and/or Handheld fully carged or on AC power. If this does not correct the situation the USB peripheral is likely faulty"
