Guys, doom is awesome and all, but we don't have wolfenstein 3d on the nspire! and all of the file sizes for ndoom are huge, so I have to use my space wisely. I really need help!
-
Wolfenstein would indeed be great on the CX.
-
Yeah I am curious if Wolf will ever come out on the Nspire. It would indeed be great. :)
-
Couldn't the ndoom files be converted to grayscale to bring down the filesize?
-
doom graphics are already 8-bit, and changing to 4-bit probably wouldn't be possible without rewriting the entire graphics engine, making it more complicated (and maybe slower).

Why would you need to play Wolfenstein? It has much more boring maze levels and no multiple floors.
Here's a Doom wad for wolfenstein: http://www.doomworld.com/wolfendoom/index.shtml (http://www.doomworld.com/wolfendoom/index.shtml)

Doom wads aren't as good as the original you know... I would much rather play the original, even if it isn't available
-
It technically is available, as Wolfenstein for the 84+, if you have a non-CAS. Not sure how well it works, considering how terribly some things run in TI's emu, but it's worth a halfhearted shot :P
If we get SDL (I heard someone's porting it) then this (http://happypenguin.org/show?Wolf4SDL) makes it a walk in the park :P disable sound, change some keycodes, and most libs are fully functional.

Well, it'll for sure be possible, but I don't see anybody making it right away, because IMO it's kinda boring compared to doom. Ofcourse maybe you could find a PWAD or something so it looks exactly the same and can run in ndoom.

still, no harm in porting another Open Source program, right?
