Title: ARMY Plans
Post by: Raylin on September 01, 2010, 01:54:37 am
Okay, so after these series of contests are over (or at least the DCS contest), I will begin work on this again.
Strange, i know but yeah. I need to start working on this again.

I'm glad this is not dead at least. I knew you were trying to figure out a contest idea for a while but I was more worried that you were slowly leaving Omnimaga (project-wise) until you eventually are gone for good (somethign I've seen happening with a dozen of staff on the old board). I hope you don't have to deal with RAM clears again, though x.x. Is it gonna be BASIC or Axe? On the BASIC side, I think the mouse routine in DCS sounds like it could be of great use for such project.

Axe probably maybe. I dunno.

Aah ok. Another alternative is both, if the game is massive and 16 KB is not enough (or 8 KB for non-app).

True, I should just make the movement and display in Axe and then, I could run the GUIMouse.

Yeah that could be an idea. Of course you can also write your own mouse routine if you want your game to not require the 49 KB APP, but then you have less room for other code. Well good luck when you start working on this again.

Strategy game. I think if I remember correctly, it was semi real-time. Build an army then send it on your enemy, old skool RTS style.
