how hard would a comic veiwer prgm or app would be to make for the cse?
 ;D
i realy want to look through comics on my calc!
how would i attempt to accomplish this?
also, another idea just popped into my thoughts....
how hard would it be to make a nuclear reactor sim or a dam sim?
with the dam sim i was wanting to be able to control water output and display the water flowing through the turbines, and the amount of electricity being produced, plus the amount of water in the reservoir, so if it over flooded it would be game over, and having the ability to trigger the emergency flood release system to prevent possible over-flooding...
seems i have made myself a problem of skills vs. complexity if i attempt to do this prgm....
oh well.
silly me! :P
 :blah:

Maybe you could use IViewer to make a comic reader ? That would be a great project idea, and a great use for that lib :)

You would need to convert .CBR or other comic book files into AppVars and use those...  The screen size might be an issue though, considering that the text would be small.  This might ruin some comics, but you could try putting each "pane" (or square in the comic) as its own screen.  You would have to be really good at manipulating the CBR and would need experience in developing the conversion application for PC.

If the comics don't have a lot of details, you could use Celtic2CSE or xLIBC sprites to display them, else, Iviewer+Mviewer would be the best (but more costly in memory) choice.

Rock paper scissors is so easy that it's just a beginner project and TICalc.org is already flooded with simple games like that. :/
How about chess (no AI though) ?

Hmm interesting. Did you write this with lines or is it a mockup? I am curious how fast this would generate on a CSE calc.

But yeah in general it would be best to try new ideas for calcs, since RPS has been done several times. For practice and experimenting it is a nice project, though.

Yes this is a mockup. And yes, i drew this on the graphing screen using lines

I dont have the skill to take on a project like this. Im sorry, but for now this will have to be set to the side.
