Title: [April fools] Custer's Revenge 84+C
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on April 01, 2014, 01:53:52 pm
UPDATE: April fools :P (still, don't search for Custer's Revenge on Google if you're at work, school computers or under 18, because it's very NSFW)

So to get myself back into programming, I decided to port an old Atari 2600 classic from 1982 to the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition, using xLIBC from Doors CSE 8.0: Custer's Revenge!

This game was an adult game where you had to head towards the woman attached to a cactus on the other side of the screen, while avoiding arrows. Once there, you had to keep mashing the attack button as fast as you can with the maiden. The game was withdrawn from circulation after many protests and Atari lawsuits. Now it is coming to your calculator (although parts of the sprites in the current version are censored and it currently lacks the game mode where you avoid cactuses that appears every now and then).

Unfortunately it's kinda slow right now and there are bugs, so hopefully I can fix them for a release tomorrow April 2nd. :)

Wow, awesome! I hear you're planning on porting E.T. next. :D

E.T would definitively be awesome too *.*

But implementing the many bugs will be a nightmare >.<

So yeah, in case anyone really wanted this game (O.O), sorry, but Custer's Revenge 84+C is fake. Not a single line of code was written for it, other than the warning text at the start. The rest of the animated GIF was made up (if you look carefully you can notice errors in it). The game would most likely never have made it to any calc site archives anyway, let alone an uncensored version.

Happy April Fools day. :D
